This may seem kinda random but what trailers are before the movie? I'm going to see it anyway on Thursday but I'm curious.

I saw it in IMAX so there were only three trailers. They were for A Christmas Carol (that stupid computer animated one with Jim Carrey) and Alice in Wonderland (which looks flabbergastingly awesome). To be honest I can't even remember the third one, so it must not have been very memorable. New Moon maybe?

Oddly enough I don't ever remember reading the book, but I've always been a big fan of Pierre (A Cautionary Tale). The trailer for this movie really caught my eye when I saw it at Harry Potter, and I'm really curious to see this now that the reviews are looking good.

I never heard about this book. Am I the only one?

Never even heard or it? Probably not but still...sad. It's really one of the greatest children's books ever written.

Perhaps its not that well-known outside the English-speaking world.

That's possible. I didn't know you weren't from the English-speaking world; my appologies.

This is not a kids movie. I wouldn't take my 7 year old kid to see this--this is a film for adults about being a kid. It's much to scary and deep to be fully appreciated by a young child, IMO.

Totally, Kid_A. I wouldn't recommend this to young children. This is not a Hollywood-ized version of a children's book, it's a visionary re-imagining and retelling of what it means to live.

Well said. And just to clarify--you don't have to be an adult to enjoy the movie (I'm certainly not an adult) but I'd say this film requires a bit of maturity and appreciation for film and art to really appreciate.

Finally went to see it and was one of the best movies of the year. I just sad I didn't get to see it all.

You didn't get to see the whole thing? What happened?

By "all," I mean I missed one scene. There was a bit of problem at the theater so SPOILERS we jumped from Max hiding in KW's stomach to Max leaving the island.

Oh that sucks. But as I recall you didn't miss much.
