WAAAAAY too loosely. I'm actually the point that I find anti-SJWs in gaming FAR more obnoxious than the annoying SJWs themselves. I'm definitely against excessive censorship (Tharja in FE) or people whining about games they'd never play anyway (Tracer's pose in Overwatch), but I can only cringe when people bring up the term in instances such as:

-Lin be censored in XBX. She's 14, get over it. I wouldn't be bother if they didn't, but c'mon, it's obvious why they did in the West.
-Whenever a game has a female lead that isn't the cliche femme fetale then it MUST be a SJW game (I've seen people whine about games like Celeste and Life is Strange being too PC and SJW...I dont' even...).

Aside from that I'm not a huge fan with most DLC policies lately. Stuff like Witcher 3, Mario Kart 8 (Wii U), and Breath of the Wild are all good DLC at good prices for the content...but garbage like Street Fighter V MULTIPLE Season Passes, EA's day-1 DLC BS, and lootboxes in so many games that required hundreds or thousands of hours of play to acquire without real money drive me crazy.

@CanisWolfred Halo and God of war have never been as colorless as many other post-Xbox-Playstation/Xbox/computer games.
God of war 2 was very varied and colourful, the tones were often quite dark but there was an enormous difference compared to games like Call of Duty for example.
I think that simply good taste among graphic designers is becoming more and more rare unfortunately. The elves realm in the new God of war game (a game I really love btw) is one of the most colourful places in the game but also the worst looking in the entire game. It just look random and uninteresting.
A hat in time and Portal knights are very colourful games but without any aesthetic sense imho. Both bright and colourful games and darker ones can be good and both are necessary to give choice and a feeling that the library of a console is really complete, but both styles need a very polished taste and aestethic sense to look good and be pleasant and fascinating.
Super Mario Odyssey in my opinion looks a lot worse than many other Super Mario Games because of that imho, for example.
I mean, for me Super Mario 3D land is much more pleasant to watch than Odyssey!!!! They keep making consoles more powerful but what's the point if you don't know how to make new games actually more pleasant to watch than the older ones???
Same goes for God of war, I love the new God of war game but God of war 2 environments were immensely more pleasant to behold.

On the topic of leaks/rumours. It's getting more common and ugly that when leaks/rumours happen, people assume they're true and then lash out when they're not true. Perfect example is Pokemon Switch, when Eurogamer leaked the Switch back in 2016 along with it came the rumour of Pokemon Stars and when it turned out to be Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon the backlash was so bad they had to announce Pokemon Switch at E3. It's also happening again when rumours appeared that Pokemon Switch would be announced in a Direct before the Nintendo investor meeting and it didn't.

I'm tired of "live service" or "games as a service" games.

Once the servers go offline you can't play the game anymore.

AAA games in general. All those big publishers like EA, Activision and Ubisoft don't make games as a basic product anymore. What I mean by that is all their new releases of the last couple of years have either a bunch of paid DLC, micro-transactions and/or loot boxes built into them. Furthermore, they're moving towards a system of games as a service, which I absolutely detest!

Indies are keeping my love for video games alive. Thank You Indies!

I can see what you mean, and I have NEVER engaged either side, but the one thing I will say is you are talking about forum users generally (only?).

I think where the other side gets so annoying is that this stuff is coming from the gaming news sites (like Polygon?). You will generally never see an article critical of the SJW stuff from any major gaming site staff member, but they have no problem peddling in it. The fact that the conversation feels so one-sided from the institutions probably only makes the other side act worse and overly sensitive (but make no mistake, I wish they wouldn't).

I agree on all points about loot boxes. I do think gamers are a little unrealistic with AAA titles though. The cost has gone up dramatically to develop these titles but the market has not increased to make up for it, nor has the base price of a game (exhibit A: the closures of AAA studios over the last 10+ years). They have responded by coming up with creative (and many times awful) ways of finding additional revenue.

So we now have games with broken mechanics because developers need to find a way to earn enough money from games made to justify the existence of next gen gpus?
Well if that's the case gpu producers should either
A: pay money for those games or
B: don't bother us with graphics that are not sustainable and that on top of that make our consoles heat like an oven

Don't get me wrong I'm not ok with ugly graphics, I don't like Shovel knight mostly because graphics is not polished enough for my taste but we don't need the opposite extreme either. There were many PS2 and Wii games that were absolutely gorgeous and it's ok to improve on them but not to the point that you must end up stealing money from gamers with annoying tricks to sustain a game.

The fact that the these modern games are ridiculously easy, even on the highest difficulty nowadays smh...

Nickel and dime DLC's (eg. Oblivion's horse armor, Total War's blood dlc's costing 2.99 UDS wtf?!)
Loot crates and boxes
Games turned into cash croppers by making it 'mobile like'
Unfinished games and the devs' "Oh we'll patch as we go along" mentality (if you say 'Early Release' great + reduced price, but if you say Triple AAA full release at 60 USD we're expecting it fully finished).
Multiplayer leaning direction of gaming (which is related to all the above). I don't play MP much, and I don't have anything against it, but when dev's are essentially switching to these for economic cash cow reasons, that's when it's troubling.

Worst of all: fanboys cuck consumers continuously defending these anti-consumer policies.

Don't mean that I don't like them extending lifetime of a game by fixing and adding content, but it's just ridiculous now how much they raised prices and then nickel and dime content.
