Hey dudes. (And TBD, and Orlick.) I just wanted to write a quick forum post to explain something, in case anyone was wondering.
I got a promotion recently, and it required a move to a different town. (Don't worry...it was worth it.) Because of this, I haven't been available to review games for this site.
Why? Well, my new job is a LOT more time intensive than my previous one, such as that I've been clocking 12 and 13 hours some days (often back to back, and I don't get paid overtime...) and am thus not a reliable reviewer right now. I do still have my weekends, but by the time a weekend rolls around, the games have already been out long enough that a review almost seems pointless.
On top of that, I've only got spotty internet service right now, and my ceiling collapsed recently with a flood of dirty water and roaches, meaning I'm going to be moving again in another week. Hip hip huzzah.
But I did want to explain why I haven't been around lately, and why I haven't been pulling my weight as far as reviewing goes. Sorry folks. If I could change it, I would...but right now, it looks like I'll either have to get to the point that I can start doing shorter days again, or NoA will have to shift their release dates to Friday or something. The former is more likely than the latter, of course, but that's probably a good while off.
I still pop onto the forums from time to time, even if I don't stick around long enough to comment. Rest assured I'm still as amused by you lot as I ever was, for better or for worse. Just keep your fingers crossed that I can get a little more time to myself in the near future, and I'll be back reviewing games and getting yelled at for awarding a 2/10 to Domo Goes Hawaiian. It'll be like I never left.
(PS--thanks to Dazza and the other mods/admins, who have been very supportive of me in this transition. For those of you hoping quietly that I had been fired...better luck next time!)
Thanks folks. Obviously I should have thanked you all as well as the admins. It's an excellent collection of folks here, and that's the main reason I miss writing reviews for NL. Keep up the strong community; you all rock. (Underline "all.")

Hey Chicken. Just want you to know I'm sure it means a lot to us to hear where you've been, and that you still stop by good ole NL one in a while. EDIT: And the likes of your Thorium Wars, Dragon Master Spellcaster, and Doc Louis's Punch-Out!! reviewing skills (as well as your forum insights) will be missed.
