Topic: What Wii games do you think did motion controls wrong?

I keep seeing people complain about how most games on Wii used motion controls wrong.

At this point I have something in the ballpark of 20 Wii games, and aside from Super Paper Mario (whose motion controls I'm indifferent to), I don't really see an issue.

Most games are completely responsive, and work within the accuracy the game needs. Star Wars the Force Unleashed doesn't work that great, but the fun of that game comes from mowing down swaths of enemies, so I really didn't care that much.

Right now I'm playing Okami, and I'm seeing some people say the controls are bad. I don't see an issue at all. The timing is really precise for attacking, but it was still responsive. Even the dodge worked just fine for me.

I don't mind it other than the propeller Mario motion being used for no good reason. (No reason B couldn't be used instead at least as an option - That is how it works in NSLU and it is fine). My wrists don't like that motion.

I despise the way 2D Mario games map multiple functions to one button (Controllers have more than 2 buttons nowadays Nintendo), so mapping a function to a motion instead is actually a pro in my book.

I don't mind the motion for adjusting the tilt of platforms. B is not used for anything as it is though. I am not that bothered about using the same buttons for different actions unless it is really hard to pull of things which I don't think it is in Mario games. (3D World I play with the run button held down and the other alternative run button for actions).

Castlevania the using special weapons is part of it so using up and the normal attack button I think is fine. (Using another just kills the difficulty). The fact that you have to stop to use them is part of the strategy.

Sonic and the Black Knight, but that was not the worst of the game's control problems. Parrying bosses was a real pain, though.

I found the Wii version of this unplayable, worse than my example above. I'd have bought a peripheral for the game just to get some milage out of it.

I hate how Sonic and the Secret Rings used motion control. Movement involved holding the Wimote sidesays and titling to move in that direction. it felt awful and completely unresponsive to the point I rage quit after the first real stage. And no, you couldn't use the D-Pad.
Black Knight was a waggle fest that could never get into.
I'd say Dragon Quest Swords was more annoying than wrong, the swinging motions were too precise for the Wiimote by itself without motion plus, and you need to keep the wiimote pointed at the sensor bar to register the correct motion which is really uncomfortable. Then again, I did play that game after Skyward Sword, which had the best sword motion controls I have ever used so I could of been spoiled from that game.

Just some random loser who loves a variety of things.

There is loads of Sega Wii games that are fine -

Any of the lightgun ones (House of the Dead / Ghost Squad etc. Once it is set right) / Sonic All Stars Racing / Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz / Virtua Tennis 2009 / Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games (Good use of balance board) / Alien Syndrome - Controls are really good (Shame about the game).

A game I think was called Ninja Reflex. I first saw it previewed in an issue of Nintendo Power, and thought it would be kind of unique (it was essentially a ninja themed Wii Sports). When I finally played it, however, it was terrible.

I also second the mention of Sonic & the Secret Rings.
