In light of the GC adapter for Wii U announcement, let's discuss what our favorite Nintendo controller is.
For me it's a tie between the GC and Wii controllers. The Wii was a huge advancement in controller design. Not just in motion control, but in offering a variety of control options with only one controller. Consider how many controllers had 3 different ways of being operated. You can't convert the DS4 into a wand controller, nor can you turn it into a two-handed motion device. Oh man and the speakers on the controller were a genius idea. That sound you hear from the remote really added a level of immersion that people take for granted. But I'm getting carried away.
The GC on the other hand feels like the epitome of adjusting a more traditional controller, and I'd say it's the 2nd most comfortable controller I've ever held after the DS4. The button layout was ingenius, and the triggers were the best I've seen in a game.
It's a hard pick for me.

The Wii U Pro controller gets my vote. The Wii remote is not only my least favorite Nintendo controller, it is one of my least favorite controllers of all time, I hate that damn thing.
My top 3:
1. Gamecube - Comfy and traditional
2. GamePad - Has so much potential in it.
3. Wii U Pro Controller - Haven't use it for much games yet but it's so comfy, it's on to be my best traditional controller. Shame it has digital triggers.
Mentions; Wiimote for it's simplicity and motion controls and it's combinations except the Classics, DS4 for it's kinda awkward look but comfy, Xbox 360 controller for it's features and comfort.
Ooops. Long post. Sorry.

Mind if I ask why? Even if you hate Motion control (which I don't get), the controller was still really ergonomic and comfortable, and the ability to change configurations was really cool. And I have no idea how it took so long to put a speaker on a controller.

My vote is for the Wii Remote. It's like a swiss army knife for games. Gun, steering wheel, traditional control, and more all in one. Plus I don't have to buy 4 new controllers for the Wii U so bonus.
