And is anybody else excited for the return of Beavis & Butthead this summer? I know I am! :D

I never did like the art style of Beavis & Butthead. I fear if the show really is coming back that it'll be vulgar like 'Family Guy' or 'Drawn Together' and so I can't actually say I'm excited or I'd be fibbing which is indeed a sin. However, I really do hope that 'The Ren & Stimpy Show', 'The Angry Beavers ', 'Rocko's Modern Life' and 'As Told By Ginger' will make returns to television now that Looney Tunes is also making a comeback. I also miss 'The Goode Family as that was a great show for us 'Green' and 'Vegetarian' people.

Also did any of you get this card at Comic Con? Boy, I wish I had one.

Are they really bringing that back? Is Mike Judge involved? I have to say that while I enjoyed the show it's probably something that should have stayed dead.

Oh yeah I'm excited about B&B's return! The only thing I watched on MTV after they basically stopped airing, you know, MUSIC and became another reality show channel. Best friend in high school and I used to run around impersonating them. He's blond headed, so he'd be The Great Cornholio and I'm brunette so I'd be Butthead. :-D Even now, years after the original's cancellation, I keep all my keys on a B&B keychain! Will be awesome to hear their commentary on the music videos of Lady Gaga and her contemporaries, LOL!

Isn't astounding how all the television channels are becoming nothing more than miserable imitations of one another? It is almost as if everywhere you turn there is either a loopy 'reality show' or a horrid teen soap opera. At lest History Channel, Disney XD, Food Network and HGTV are still worth watching but Cartoon Network is slowly being invaded by the invasion of the reality show body snatchers.

While we're discussing retro reboots why not take a look at the new TMNT from Nickelodeon.

Yeah, the new TMNT looks terrible. They don't even have the right freaking weapons :P But still, Adventure time and Regular Show are some of the best animation on TV right now.

Does anybody here remember Scooby-Doo? I always loved that show. I dunno if the new ones are good, but the old ones were very clever. If ever have kids, once they're 6+ I should show them Scooby-Doo, give them something non-mindless to watch.

Sure, I loved that show as a kid. Can't really say that it isn't mindless as the same thing happened in every episode but that didn't seem to bother me much.

I have to say I was always freaked out about Shaggy constantly eating dog biscuits. That's just gross.

Yeah, but it was a mystery, you had to figure out who the guy in the mask was. Though I rarely guessed it right...

Wow yet another series that will ruin the TMNT name. Honestly though what did you expect the guys who created it arent even involved in TMNT anymore they sold their shares to Nickoldeon. If I want to watch TMNT I will just pull out the DVD sets of the orignal TMNT series.

As for the weapon switch a roo. I know for a fact that Micaelanglos weapons being the nunchuk are illegal in alot of places world wide. If you notice in the later series of the original TMNT series he stopped using the nunchuk in favor of the grappling hook. So it doesnt surprise me that they changed Mikeys weapons. As for Dontaellos I dont know what the heck was that looked to me like a Naganata rather than his Bo staff. Dont know why they changed that.

But yea I plan on skipping this one.

The new series is VERY good. They have a season wide villain, and they actually acknowledge the possible relationships within the gang and develop them. Still, by far Scooby Doo's greatest moment was the Zombie Island movie, IMO.

Regarding the TMNT thing, it said "Mutation IN PROGRESS" and a release date of 2012, that was obviously just a small animation test. I see a lot of potential in that art style, I like the way the shadows look on them.

The state of TV is absolutely horrible....To the point that i 'rarely' even watch it anymore. It depresses me to even turn it on for crying out loud... The countless reality tv shows and like you pointed out those terrible tweeny soap sitcomes, not to mention all of those god damn crime shows and the always depressing news....ugh! There's not one ounce of creativity on TV nowadays. YTV has gone to sh*t.....It's the exact opposite of what it used to be. Instead of having some wicked creative and colorful wonky set, hosted by Phil and Snit or what have you....the setting now looks like some dull office hosted by some talentless boring host Carlos....Once Sugar left, YTV went down the gutters big time. everything has gone too serious on TV....Reality TV is a freaking disease for the 'brain dead' masses out there...Hell, it's not even reality, it's all fake and scipted for the most part. It's stripping the imagination off the air waves. eek!

And I don't get nicktoons or the cartoon network which really annoys me, so I'm obviously missing out. YTV is dead, although they play spongebob and Teletoon blows for the most part.

I only watch TV if Spongebob is on haha, the first 3 seasons are pure awesomeness, super creative and original and it's just such a beautiful colorful show to look and it always puts me in a good mood. :) and the only show I actually tune in for every week is Supernatural, although Season 6 has been dissapointing. The Walking Dead was another decent one, but the next season won't be coming out for a while.

Anyways! as for the new TMNT cartoon series......Good lord did that teaser look bad. I'll stick with the original 80's/early 90's TMNT cartoons on DVD, thank you very much! :p

And seriously, they need to pump out a new Zelda, Mario and Mega Man Cartoon...Hell, a new Captain N would be Ace! :D
And did anybody here used to watch the beetlejuice Cartoon? I freakin' loved that show!

@WaveBoy Beetlejuice! That was awesome! For other creepy cartoons there was also the animated Addams Family show and Count Duckula. :D Two old cartoons I'd love to get on DVD someday are Batman: The Animated Series and Gargoyles. Those shows were top class and would be well worth owning. Anyone remember the old cartoons Street Sharks or Stunt Dawgs? Ooh, how about the MIB cartoon or Extreme Ghostbusters?

I've retreated mostly to DVDs these days since TV is so full of garbage these days. The shows I've watched recently... Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Dollhouse and a bunch of Asian comedies and dramas.

The Walking Dead looks interesting but I haven't seen it. Opinions?

@WaveBoy, if you enjoy the colorfulness of 'Spongebob Squarepants' then I'm sure you'll enjoy the beautiful and creative show that 'Adventure Time' is. You should also try and watch Regular Show along with downloading a few episodes of 'The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack.

@Popyman, I'm glad you're willing to give the new TMNT a chance as I was also disappointed in the trailer but I'm still optimistic because I know that after all this is a 'work in progress' and I thought Star Wars The Clone Wars would be an epic fail compared to the 'creative' show that Tartakovsky's Clone Wars Micro Series was but now I'm totally and completely dazzled by the new Clone Wars show and I think that the same might happen with this new iteration of TMNT as I also enjoyed the TMNT movie that IMAGI created a few years ago (2007?).

BTW I also agree with you guys in regard to the new 'Scooby Doo Mystery Incorporated'. SD: Mystery Incorporated is in my opinion just as wonderful as the classic Scooby Doo programs.
