The only movies I cry at is Forrest Gump and Toy Story 3, oh yea and I cried when I saw Pokemon The Movie the first time.

I've never actually cried while watching a movie, probably because of the pride reason, but I do tear up sometimes. I really teared up the first time I watched Marley and Me.

Ugh, really? Oh well, we all have opinions. And my opinion is that both the book AND the movie were horrible. But that's my opinion......

I've never cried watching a movie or TV programme, but I do get emotional watching the last scenes of Blackadder Goes Forth.

Call it twisted, but I seem to tear up a lot easier towards animals such as dogs instead of people. That's probably also why I cried during 8 Below, where the snow dogs were left in an arctic wilderness waiting for their masters. The oldest of which doesn't have the strength to break free from his chain, unlike the other dogs. Then the people later find him when they return buried under several feet of snow.

I tear up at pretty much anything, so I couldn't list all the movies that made me cry even if I wanted to.
But, and I'm not kidding, my manly pride prevents me from crying if I watch the movie or show with someone else.
Stupid society raised my unconscious mind to believe I'm not allowed to show emotion to others. And again, I'm not kidding.

I'm half and half with this kind of mindset. When I saw Toy Story 3 with my friends for the first time, I teared up, but I never cried. However, while watching it a second time with my girlfriend, I was blubbering like an idiot.

@ peterifico: Don't worry, you spelled "foreign" correctly, but I'll have to deduct points for not feeling emotion for Toy Story 3.

I must admit I didn't cry at Toy Story 3, either, but I felt like crying.

Almost any movie involving a dog that isn't animated (except for classic animated Disney films) is a tear-jerker.

I'm looking at you, Homeward Bound!

I'm back (for the moment)!

@BleachFan888 I don't think you're alone in this. Ever seen American Psycho? There's a scene in it which I think is about just this. The titular psycho is about to do harm to a kitty cat, but an old lady walks up, says "What are you doing?!" and he shoots her instead, dropping the cat. Everyone thinks, "Oh, yes! Thank goodness the kitty cat got away!" and then feels really bad about themselves.

@Axoloth You're not alone here either. I used to be the same way. The older I've gotten, though, the more comfortable I've become with it and the harder it is for me to hold in the tears, though when I'm still with friends I am thankful for the dark room and that their eyes aren't on me. I'm even embarassed to show my fiancee! Unless she's crying too, then it's a sweet moment. But I still wait until afterwards to tell her that I was crying too. Weird, huh?

I thought of another one, Synechdoche New York. I cried during almost the entire thing the first time I saw it. I don't cry during it anymore, though, except for a certain part maybe.

@BleachFan888 Nothing wrong with crying over dogs. It's just that that movie did not make me feel any emotion at all.

OH yeah, Marely and Me. That was a sad movie. And I loved Homeward Bound.

I never saw the movie of Marley and Me but I remember crying over the book. It shred my heart to tears after 200 pages of happy-go-lucky hilarity.

Oh yeah. Absolutely effing beautiful. So tragic, so perfect. A great and unexpected sentiment to end the show on.

I also get teary eyed whenever I re-watch the British version of The Office...two scenes in particular. The first is when Tim removes his microphone at the end of series 2...and the second is the conclusion of the Xmas specials. Two very different kinds of teary-eyed enjoyment. It probably doesn't help that I tend to re-watch them around Xmas, when I'm already sort of sorrowful anyway.

I never understood why people cried Toy Story 3, for whatever reason I didn't feel one bit of emotion for it.

Did you grow up with Toy Story? For me, the series played a HUGE part in my childhood, and fueled my imagination for years. To see it all come to an end in Toy Story 3 was tragic, but in a way just how I would want it to be.

I blame those sad animal abuse commercials.
