I know it's likely to be a sound investment when i buy a Nintendo game, i also appreciate the variety and art that i feel the other two consoles are often lacking apart from the indie scene. Shooters are fun every now and then but my god there has to be more to games than virtual guns... Best games, best variety, best prices too make it an easy choice as my main console brand.

They make fun games at all costs even sometimes things like graphics
while other devs care more about horse power then fun.

Because they still know how to make special moments happen. The WiiU is the only console I want this generation and its a shame to think of bow much better it would have been with a little more support.

For me, its how pure the pleasure I get from playing games on their system. I loved my achievements on my 360, but after getting my WiiU, its gone from trying to get the achievements to just really enjoying the game. Nintendo systems and ideas just make me happy. You can't replicate the experience on any other system.

I had an NES and later an N64 and their game library (and more recently their refusal to pull the same nonsense as their peers), has made it the most logical choice for me...but this is despite their dumb mistakes in 2011/2012...

Nintendo games are so well put together that the high I get from them never stops. I play everything under the sun (except FPS unless its with my brother or Bioshock) but I've found with non Nintendo games there is a break in that sense of Joyful immersion due to bugs or glitches or poor level design (usually my largest source of frustration) that takes me out of the game for a moment. Nintendo games come the closest to giving me the steady satisfaction I get from reading a book.

Also I love the worlds that Nintendo creates and the stories that they tell. Zelda in particular holds a special place in my heart as I played ALttP after I got out of the hospital when I was a kid. That game really took my mind off of my medical issues at the time. I also love Nintendo as a hardware developer. Their hardware is unique, usually affordable, and DURABLE (my snes still works and its 20 years old, same with n64 and gamecube which has been dropped down stairs). I have not had good luck with the other systems not counting my sega ones as they are still holding up well.

The culture of the company is pretty nice considering its size as well. I know that they like any other company are about making a profit, but Nintendo seems to not want to gouge its customers and what staff I've seen publicly seem to like what they do. It seems like they are working for more than a paycheck. I value that as a consumer.

I consider myself a Nintendo fangirl, but an objective one since I really buy whatever system has the games I want to play on it.

In general, they make very different games, and are obviously focused on still producing Japanese-centric games. I love that. Specifically, Fire Emblem, Xenoblade (unique RPG's in general, like Earthbound...they tend to make RPG's that are instant classics...that is when they decide to make ones not called Fire Emblem or Advance Wars), and their very well made platformers. Some of their platformers are not well made, but they are still the go-to developer when you want a nearly perfect one.

Games. Nintendo has games that I want to play that I can't get anywhere else., plus their games are usually top quality.

I am a fan because I enjoy its games. No strings attached.

Nintendo does not run by the conventions of any other video game company. They make games that are beautiful to both children and adults, and never feel so in-depth that you don't want to play them again. As much as I respect Sony and Microsoft as companies, they lost their creative touches about a decade ago and take advantage of previous ideas. Now, I know that Nintendo likes to continue their series multiple times on every console, but I enjoy the fact that there are timelines and deep connections between game worlds. It makes everything seem like it was always meant to be.

There is a clear mark of quality and craft that you rarely see in games from other companies - a clear desire to refine their games and keep them relevant. It's taken my whole life of gaming to appreciate something like the evolution of the Super Mario games: they're beautiful and challenging, but over time they've made an effort to make them more accessible to bring in a broader audience. There's so many nice little touches: attention to user interface design, intuitive and functional controls, minimal amount of bugs - when I get a Nintendo game I expect a quality experience and I'm (almost) never disappointed. I only wish more companies would have that same drive.

I don't think a lot of people appreciate quite how much effort they put into making these choices. People were unhappy with waiting for Mario Kart 8 or that it wasn't 1080p or whatever, but compare that to Mario Kart Wii - it's sooo far beyond it in how it looks and feels there's almost no comparison; it feels like far more than a generational leap. And compare Mario Kart 8 to the Sonic Racing game that was released at launch on the Wii U - head and shoulders above it: functional motion controls, great track design and Mario Kart TV - who thought that would be one of the most fun features?

I don't think Nintendo can do no wrong, but I never had a Nintendo console in my house until the Wii and most of their original NES games I'm only playing now for the first time, but I can see that they deserve the following they have and I'm a happy convert to the fold. Viva Nintendo!
