Topic: What is up with all the spammers in the comment sections lately?

The last few days when I have been commenting in the news articles I see among all the other comments comments like "My brother made $1,000 a day from his computer. Go to this website blah blah blah." Not sure if anyone else has noticed them or not but is there a way we as user can block them. They are very disrupting.

I've noticed this as well. I've already reported them a couple of times. This probably happens to all websites, but it's odd to see so much of it at once.

Probably bots or something, just report them and as soon staff see it they'll sort it out, they might be too busy to deal with it right away but it should be gone soon enough.

I noticed one person named "janefonda' yesterday doing that. Thankfully, the staff jumped onto the problem and the user was quickly banned. I'm not sure how those people could be blocked though.

I have reported posts from at least 6 different spambots in the last few days.

It's kinda odd to see them here.

And lol what's up with them, they act as if they were talking to some invisible person.
I noticed they @ to random usernames sometimes too.

Yeah, I've noticed them a lot more in recent days, like Navi said, if you see a spambot post, just report it and move on with your day. :3
