After spending a lot of time on my Xbone and PC, I remember having used to own a DS and Nintendo Wii and playing Monster Hunter Tri, and have recently been feeling like picking up a Nintendo product again.
Can someone tell me what their newest hand held product is and if I can play online with it?
EDIT: Oh, and since you're in the UK, you'll see that you have options: The "New 3DS" and the "New 3DS XL". The smaller regular edition has swappable faceplates you can put on the system to decorate it, while the XL is larger, with bigger screens. Again, you'll find more info in the links above.
EDIT 2: Also, yes, you should be able to play online with both products without a hitch so long as you have a stable Wi-fi connection.
All jokes aside, the newest Nintendo systems are the New 3DS, New 3DS XL, 2DS and Wii U (not as recent). These are the devices Nintendo currently supports.

If you played and enjoyed MonHunTri, I have to suggest you get a New 3DS XL and a copy of Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate right away.
