Topic: What is the name of Kirby's species?

Is it just the Kirby species, like Yoshi is a member of the Yoshi species, Toad is a Toad, ect? Or is it Star Warrior, Puffball, Cream puff, or other such names? I've always been unsure just what his kind is actually called.

I've always thought of Kirby as a puffball; in fact, the Super Smash Bros. Melee manual described him as such

And yet in other games where there is more then one Kirby they are referred to as Kirbys. Maybe it's just one of the gaming mysteries that doesn't have an official definitive answer?

I'm pretty sure it's just Kirby. Kirby's so awesome they just named the rest of his species after him.

Wasn't he a "Space/Star Warrior" thing according to the anime?

Though, the normal is to call any kirby-like creature "a kirby". I guess it's like yoshi or toad.

I don't think they really go into detail about his species. Kirby is his name though, that is certain. Star Warrior is a title given to people who fought against Nightmare before the Galaxy Soldiers army was created. I believe that term is only referenced in the anime.

Dreamland 3 had an enemy that was like Kirby that fans tended to assume was the species name. Batamon I believe it was.

He isn't a species. Kirby doesn't work that way.

I'd say he is a Popstarian. (His planet star is called Pop Star isn't it?)

Well when we see mulltiple Kirbys we call them "Kirbys" dont we?

I always thought Kirby was a spawn of Reggie since all the Kirby games are based off his imagination.

Metroid isn't ever a named character though.
