Seriously, I don't get how legendary this guy is. He has his own company called Sora but instead of making his own games, he acts as a freelance game designer designing games for other companies? How can that possibly work for a game designer? I can see it work for composers because of their top notch quality in music and it is true that many companies would hire freelance musicians instead of making it internally like SEGA for example.
But freelance work for game design? Also his philosophy isn't that great compared to Shigeru Miyamoto. The fact that he used the stick for Smash instead of the D-pad is ridiculous. How is that any good game design? And let's not forget the lack of trust this guy has. He may start to trust others for the work now but that still doesn't relax him because he's always supervising.
I've only played three games that he was involved. Kirby:Nightmare in Dreamland, Super Smash Bros Melee and Kid Icarus Uprising the latter which is admittedly good but ruined by a terrible control scheme or to be more specific, the controls are half baked.
