Topic: What if Nintendo strikes out again at E3?! Predict the snoozefest!

Wow, so Corbie doesn't like the 3DO? I was always impressed with how fast the games loaded on it plus it has some quirky titles. The loading time even seemed faster than that on the Saturn and PSX. I guess being a $700.00 system in 1994 is worth something. Anyways, I would rather see it come to VC than the Jaguar.

Nintendo will never admit it, but I believe they learned their mistakes with Wii Music. They know they need to step it up now. And I would love to see the 3DO come to the VC!

What's a 3DO?

I'm hoping for the announcement of the New Play Control Metroid Prime Trilogy.

Don't get me wrong, I like the New Play Control series, I just hope we get to see some new really good games like Kid Icarus Wii and New Super Mario Bros. 2 also. Too me, re-releasing old games at a big press conference is kind of non-news worthy, in the big picture.

Hey, if that means brand new games developed for the NES like Mega Man 9, I would count that as very exciting news, not a snooze fest! I would gladly welcome that.

I have to agree with Adam. If I heard that Nintendo was bringing back the NES I would certainly "wake up." The strangeness of the news alone would be shocking and perhaps a bit exciting if they did it right.

I sold a Super Nintendo and 42 games to buy what the media was calling "the next big thing in gaming" called the 3DO. I'm still pissed to this day and I hate no game system with the fury that I hate the 3DO system. I'd take a hundred Jaguars before I'd take one 3DO console. I may never truly get over that.

Here's my predictions:

• New Mario and Zelda play themselves, bringing "casual" to a whole new level.
• Wii Sandwich
• New DSiWare game revealed: Mario & Luigi Partners in Time: The Intro and Urban Champion clock (only 400 Ninty points!)
• New Kid Icarus revealed: Titled "Kid Icarus: Olympus Party
• Cave Story delayed until 2012
• That Woman makes an ass of yourself with another game.

I know, I didn't think the NES comment through really well. I'd love to see it too.
And yes, I know I made the single biggest mistake of my video gaming life in selling my SNES. Took me years to re-buy all of my games.

Sorry to hear about you selling off your SNES stuff. On the brightside, you didn't sell your Turbo stuff!

My brother's 3DO story was exactly opposite of your's. He bought a 3DO new with something like 42 new games for like a total of $200.00 in late 1996. I guess it pays to wait for the ship to sink.

Yeah early adopting the 3DO wasn't a smart move. While my buddies were playing Donkey Kong Country, I was playing Gex.

So Corbie did you blame your 3DO fiasco on magazine hype or did you fall victim to some clerk at a gaming store? Because I seem to remember the people working at EB really pushing the 3DO pre-sells if my memory serves me right.

I just remember the magazines really hyping the 3DO. It was all Trip Hawkins this and Trip Hawkins that...blah...blah...blah. I sold my whole SNES collection to a friend and bought that ridiculously-priced machine. Luckily I was able to pawn it off on a different friend 6 months later at which time I went and bought a new Super NES and started the collection all over again.

I would like to see the 3DO come to the VC just as long as Corbie writes the reviews for all those games! That would be some really funny stuff!
