They'd have more chances of buying Square Enix if they ever wake up thinking "Hey, let's buy a famous game company!".
Or they can buy both, and finally make that Mushroom Kingdom Hearts we always wanted!!!
Oh gawd no.
you're right, no to Mushroom Kingdom Hearts.
it should be Hyrule Kingdom Hearts!

And seriously if it ever came to a huge collaboration in game-making this could be amazing for both sides.
With the experience of Nintendo, Disney's classic characters could get great games again and if Ninty would get stellar Star Wars and Marvel exclusives it'd surely make a lot of MicroSony owners interested in their consoles.
With a much bigger install base Ninty could bring the classic LucasArts games to their consoles and even make new entries in these series'. I always felt that a Nintendo console would be a great home for these.
All very wishful thinking there, but it's hard not to get carried away by such huge dream potentials. And while we're at it, why not just have Konami, Capcom, Sega, Microsoft, Sierra, Valve, Apogee, Blizzard, Bullfrog, Squenix, Sunsoft and Treasure under Ninty's belt too.
Then all future nintendo exclusives will have 50 minute long dreary musical cut scenes with peach and mario singing a duet.

Boy you guys act like this whole thing's a joke instead of an actual thing.
sincerely it sounds like it'll never happen because Disney would most probably rather get a 3rd party gaming company instead(less costs, broader public, more systems to publish the games, cheaper to acquire and less "expectations", I lack a better word for it, upon its products)

...because you made it up. It's not even a rumor you read online, it was just something that popped into your head. Of course we're not going to take it seriously.

Well I hate Activision because they could buy some of my favorite studios.
I hate EA because they could buy some smaller developers
I hate Nintendo because they could buy SEGA
I hate Sony because they could buy Japan

@Artwark You've apparently forgotten (or didn't know) that Microsoft tried to buy Nintendo once. Negotiations went smoothly, up until Balmer had to speak with Yamauchi, who I'm told was quite colorful in his own language about his desire for MS to pack it up and go home. As no one is over Nintendo, Disney can't forcibly buy out Nintendo. They would have to convince Iwata, Miyamoto, and the board of directors to sell. Very unlikely.
