But I'm just like
Can I just like, hang off the back of your horse
And can you go a little faster?!
The site can get taken off the review list or banned from events and getting info. Can't think of any gaming sites but I know Leo Laporte and Kotaku are both on the apple blacklist.

Well, since you're being nice and giving the reviewer an early copy of the game, you could also ask the reviewer not to say too much of the game itself since it would ruin the experience of other users and even damage the sales of the game. What happens if the reviewer is a jerk and tells everyone that the main character is actually a cat that thinks he's a human or that snape kills dumbledore? Well, you stop talking to him!

Apple cares about game reviews?
I meant to say Gizmodo not Kotaku. They got blacklisted due to the whole iphone 4 debacle.
Leo was Blacklisted because he Live streamed the apple IPad event on his site.

Are reviewers penalized for breaking "review embargoes" and discussing spoiler content? What's the purpose of imposing review embargoes?
Yeah, they get blacklisted.
It's also hugely unethical for a journalist to do it, so if a journalist is found to deliberately be breaking embargoes, that can pretty much kill his/ her future prospects at publications that aren't scraping the bottom of the barrel.
The purpose of embargoes? So obnoxious, self-important journalists don't have an excuse to mess up the launch of a $40, $50 million project. And so no publication feels unfairly treated - an embargo means everyone has the same opportunity to review the game.

i was wondering if anything happened to them because of that, haha.
