Sakura Wars on Wii. I forgot that there's Strategy gameplay. And I nearly died in the first battle. Somehow. Despite the fact that you can easily attack, heal and defend on every turn...

did I mention I suck at strategy games?

I dunno, I'm mildly horrendous at strategy games myself, but I don't remember having too much trouble with Sakura Wars beyond one or two battles.

Ok now I'm just ashamed at myself.

Some battles in Sakura Wars require you to accomplish tasks within a certain number of turns irrc, so a conservative strategy isn't always the most prudent route to victory, but I still usually leaned heavily towards caution in battle, trying to pick off enemies one at a time without leaving anybody exposed to too many enemy attacks and sticking mainly with the defensive stratagem whenever possible.

And making sure the characters had good relationships certainly didn't hurt as the game went along.

Nostalgia (DS). Pretty good so far. The battles remind me of FFX's "conditional turn based system" (which is a plus, IMO), the airship battles are providing a fresh experience for me, the real world locales are neat, and the graphics are pretty good for a DS game.

My only real complaints (which just come down to personal preferences), are that the art style & dialog remind me more of a children's anime, & thus isn't as compelling as ToTA, Crimson Shroud, FF, exc.

BTW, I had intended on picking up The King of Fighters XIII, but none of our Gamestops, Wal-Marts, or K-Marts had a single copy for either PS3 or 360...

Next time I get the cash, I'll just order it through GameStop's website, because it's in stock there.

My PS3 is online, so I'll consider a DL if I can't get it online.

Alright, I can certainly tell that the end is nigh, for Zack & Wiki: Quest for Barbaros' Treasure and also Epic Mickey, so I've been trying to decide on my next console game to play when no-none else is around (I've played the single-player Nintendoland attractions to death).

From my back-catalog of platformers, I have:
New Super Mario Bros. U,
Donkey Kong Country Returns, and
Rayman Origins.

It's a tough choice (and I want to play them one-at-a-time), but I was wondering what you guys thought.

Donkey Kong Country Returns. Rayman is arguable but if NSMBWii is any indication, I'd wait on Mario U unless you can do some co-op.

I am playing Tekken Tag Tournament 2(Wii U), CoD Duty BO 2(Wii U occasionally), F-Zero(Wii U VC), Mario Kart Wii online, and DKCR(Wii).
I'm getting better at Tekken, and I beat the MH3U demo, so I'm just gonna wait until the full game now.

Picdun 2: the Witch's Curse (3DS eShop).

A few of the puzzles can border on borderline frustrating, but most of them are great, and the actual dungeon exploring & battling work great.

It's no Crimson Shroud or Denpa Men, but it's definitely worth the $5 for RPG fans.

If you even remotely enjoyed the old DKC games or even if you've never played them, go with Donkey Kong Country Returns. Everything about that game is fantastic and the levels are some of the most creative i've seen in a 2D platformer. You have to try pretty hard not to have fun when playing that game.

Too many. I'm focusing on finishing one at a time. Unfortunately, I got separated from my 3DS for a week, so I'm only getting back to Devil Survivor Overclocked now.
