For Nintendo, it seems most characters of theirs never really seem to "die off". Sooner or later they end up making some kind of surprise comeback. The Koopalings for example went silent at some point, leaving Bowser alone with his son, but since NSMBW, they've become more and more important to the series, going so far as to being playable in games like Mario Kart 8 and Super Smash Bros. Not to mention that characters like R.O.B. or Duck Hunt Dog becoming relevant thanks to Smash. Or Chibi-Robo getting a new game on 3DS after years of silence. Even Toadette who had suddenly stopped showing up in games until finally coming back in Mario Kart 8.
So what character would you love to see make some sort of comeback? I personally would love to see Prince Fluff show up again in a game. Also, it'd be cool to see Chunky Kong, Lany Kong, and Tiny Kong become important again to the DK series.
I'd love Spyro and Crash to come back. In their own games.
Skylanders isn't a Spyro game to me because it has no focus on his abilities or backstory, unlike older games including Spyro. It's like saying Sm4sh is a Mega Man game because you can go through the game and imagine Mega Man's struggles in combat. True, but you could do that with any other character, and you're never forced to use Mega Man's unique abilities.
I want another Kameo game. She's pretty kick-booty for a fairy. The Elementals are very cool. I think this game had a really fun concept but it has a few issues... And a sequel could solve that. I want a Kameo game with the same gameplay more than a return of the character, though.
Personally I think it would be cool to see Ice Climbers get a breath of fresh air like Little Mac, but I have no idea how a new game would work and if it would be worth Nintendo's resources.
Midna not her imp her true form.Cause after twilight princess you never see her in anything.Not a trophy in brawl and not even a trophy in the new smash bros.She's not even in hyrule warriors,is only her imp form that's getting attention in Nintendo.Cause come on why would they just make two forms of a character,and not use both.I extremely hope they make a trophy of her human form in the Wiiu version of smash,at least that will make me happy.

At least they went back to the old design afterwards. I haven't even played that much Bomberman, and even I think that the redesign was stupid.

Bomberman died a long time ago, sure he got a few party games and downloadable games in the past 10 years, but not much has lived up to the great franchise it once was. And since Konami now owns Hudson Soft, we know for sure that he'll never return.

Yes! I'm currently replaying the original 3 Spyro games on PSN. I'd forgot how good they are. Pretty much as good as any of the 3D Marios. Shame they let other developers ruin them.
@technotaylor98 I loved that game back in the gamecube days. I never made it far in the game but it was one of my favorites. Unfortunately the franchise belongs to EA so we'll probably never see him again (and if he did come back it would be a dlc/microtransaction mess)
@ShanaUnite I think they were trying to go for dark, edgy and "mature," since that's what a lot of people are obsessed with, but it just came off really badly. It's like if Nintendo tried to make a Mario game based on the Mario Bros movie.

I'd like to see some Paper Mario characters make some appearances (no, NOT Mario RPG...Geno sucks ). Even crazy easter eggs like ever one in ten Bob-ombs in Mario Kart being either Bombery or Bombette, or having Koops cheering from the stands, or any of them being in Smash instead of Dark Pit, Doctor Mario, Falco, Toon Link, Cloned Ganondorf, Marth (or Lucina, but not BOTH), or Bowser Jr...I know he's not a clone...I just don't like him...
