actually its a kind of crazy thought that a 16 year old doesnt know about facebook. its not a bad thing, its actually pretty good (since all the teens are obsessed about it) but if i went up to my friend and said "hey a 16 year old doesnt know about facebook" he wouldnt believe it

I'm 18. Facebook is a website like this one, only with a much darker in tone.
Personally, I like the light theme from this website. NintendoLife is great.

wow. I'm surprised no one knows what it is here. It's kind of a social networking site but it's mostly for college kids and it's helpful to keep in contact with their friends from high school when they graduate. It's not like Myspace, where people write emo blogs and meet random people.

Its like myspace, but you have to put your real name, D.O.B., location, etc.

What???? Now I don't feel like going to Facebook. I'm surprised there are people I know (sister and cousins) who go there. I'm not gonna post my full name and place where I live. DOB, maybe, but that's just crazytalk.

LIke I said, it's for people who want to keep contact with their friends. It's NOT Myspace. People who aren't your friends can't even view your profile. I don't put my date of birth or phone number on there, but some people do. It's not crazytalk because it's just like a yearbook. Only people at your school or your friends from other schools can see it. It's a great site, because you can see what your friends at UT are up to if you go to FSU, and create an event to get everyone together when you're in town.

Its all private. Only friends can see your posts and other personal information.

You won't have to, you could call yourself "The Gorgeous Mr Magic" or whatever, but you'll stick out like a sore thumb and look pretty immature. If your worried about privacy and stuff like that, you can actually hide your profile completely from anyone not on your friends list and even then you can adjust to a degree what different people are able to see. In fact, there's no way to make your profile completely open to everyone on the network so it has pretty good privacy. There are a few intermediate steps between "hiding from everyone" and "as open as can be" but you'll have to find out yourself.

seriously, Starboy, you ought to make yourself one. i'd be your first friend, and i'm online all the time. and i'm chicken's friend, too. it's not bad, and alot of fun, and a great way to communicate.

I guess I was just overreacting, that's all. Maybe someday I'll try.
