@MultiMariosonic Alex Kidd should also make a comeback, he's been appearing in the Sega crosserovers recently, so it's only a matter of time until he gets a new game, but they should give him a better health bar then a one hit kill, though once you beat the game, then you can unlock a one hit kill mode I guess.

@Multimariosonic: Just the end of it because i've been stuck on it for a long time now, and i'm usually never stuck in Sonic games.

I didn't find that level too hard, but that's coming from someone who's played Sonic since they were 5. I personally thought that level was epic and the next Sonic game could use a climatic final level like that. Maybe on the final level Sonic could be running from a giant robot destroying pretty much everything in its path, causing an apocalypse, and you basically try to avoid hundreds of obstacles (like falling towers, trees, meteors, scrap metal, etc.) and can't make one wrong move (like stopping) or you get crushed by either the robot or an obstacle. Does that sound cool? Personally I think Sonic games need more difficulty anyways.

Yeah, that does sound cool, but I don't like the end of that level because you can't see the robot firing the lasers at you, which makes it hard to predict where you need to go and when you should use the boost.

@MultiMariosonic Maybe a final level could be something like this.

Keep going with Colors/Generations. Find an awesome gimmick that works with that gameplay and BAM you have a new Sonic game.

A "SM N64" styled one.

Honestly... the character needs to lie fallow for a while.
I am sick and tired of each Sonic game being touted by Sega as the game where they "bring Sonic back to what the fans love!" only to miss the mark...

Seriously, just let him rest for a good bit, or seriously rethink the character.

This is all I'm asking for Sega. Just switch the Gamecube logo to Wii U and you're all set!

How about Ristar, he would fit in the Sonic games actually.

I'm going to be one of the people to say, I wish for another Adventure - like game...more like Sonic Adventure or Sonic Adventure 2, and less like Sonic 06...
AND DONT FORGET THE CHAO THIS TIME!! I don't mind different characters sometimes, but for some reason a ton of people criticize that. Sonic Adventure 2 is my favorite Sonic game.

Thanks! haha. I don't get that too often being a big fan of the Sonic Adventure games, and not being a big COD fan being a 23 year old guy!

@pashaveliki He They did give him a break. Last year. There were no mainstream Sonic games last year (no Sonic 4 Episode II doesn't count) so therefore that was his break. And SEGA's not "missing the mark" because Sonic is an awesome character again, he's finally as good as he was in the Genesis days. He's got gameplay that fits his character perfectly, he's got originality, it's a good game for all ages. All they really have to do is make Sonic easier to control (the smooth controls and exploration of the Adventure games with the fast Unleashed gameplay would work) and add a new gimmick like in Colors to keep it fresh, a nice plot, and maybe some new characters and awesome level design and you've got a perfect Sonic game.

That's some pretty good points there. One in particular is I think no recent Sonic game has compared to the controls of the Adventure series.

@Joshers744 Did you like or dislike the Adventure controls? I liked them, they just felt so easy. If the next Sonic game brought back those smooth controls, but kept the Unleashed gameplay, that would be good enough.
