Topic: What do you want from Nintendo's next console?

I don't know if there's already a topic for this but I guess I'll know soon.

So just tell me what you want from Nintendo's next home console. It can be about the physical system(how it looks, how much storage it has, etc.), the games(a "mature" library, a "casual" library, a balanced library, what franchises you want to see more of), the online. Anything to do with the system. Don't post anything about this thread being too early. Only about your ideas/hopes/dreams about the next console.

Nintendo's just started up thevWii U, I don't think it's time yet to start the next console's discussion.

It's never too early to think ahead. And whenever a new console releases, it points ahead to what's next. So yes, we can start the next console's discussion.

But I would like to see innovation, just something I never would have expected.

How about REAL virtual reality this time?

Imagine playing a Mario game where you actually feel like you're jumping on enemies or riding Yoshi! Or a Metroid where you feel like you are behind Samus's visor; shooting up Space Pirates and Screw Attacking in the air! (how would being in a morphball feel though?...) Or even being behind the cockpit of an F-Zero racer or an Arwing!

The posibilities are endless!

It's...still too early. How can we even start thinking about a new console right now? We don't even know what we truly want from the next distant generation because...we don't know what we want yet. We don't know how society and the changing market will shape up the next set of consoles (if they even exist). For all we know, the next Nintendo console may not even be like a traditional game console anymore.

It might be more appropriate to ask what our dream Nintendo console should be imo :/

This. You guys can all go enjoy the Mushroom Kingdom and Hyrule all you want, but there's a certain VRMMO I want to visit...

• i really don't care about the console itself... when i buy a console/handheld... all i really care about are the games/franchises
  an exception would be the 3ds // 3ds xl i guess, the 3D effect is nice!

but yea... for gaming consoles/handhelds... all that really matters to me are the games.
for a computer/laptop it's different... because you do so much more stuff with it than just gaming

but if i had to pick 1 thing... just don't do the same Sony is doing with the ps4...
all this social network integration shit... share-button, facebook-login and shit like that... i have NO intention of sharing my achievements on facebook with my friends... that's really just for retarded nerds
when i play a game.. i want to stay anonymous and just play the damn game, couldn't care less for all the other stuff

so all i really need from a console are good games + online availability + NO social networks (FB, Twitter, etc.) integration

For it to be owned by Sega with Mario appearing perhaps occasionally in the odd Sonic allstars racing game, thought I'd go for a realistic scenario.

Maybe a home console that you can take anywhere? You hook up a console that looks like a light little home console with a screen on it and you can play with a contoller on the big screen, or unplug it and take it anywhere. It'll have new franchises and continue those from previous console and handheld generations because it's a mix of both. Is htta a good idea?

Don't really know yet. But if the next device uses a touch-screen as well, I'd really love it if they used Tixel. I'm really curious about that tech.
