Yesterday I spent most of the evening watching KI and Smash Brothers tournaments and it got me wondering where does the community hear fall on e-sports and competitive gaming. Do you love it, or hate and if so you follow any of the major games or players. The es-sports community is pretty big spanning not only genre's but games as well . You have

FPS games

Moba's

Pokemon

and of course the FGC

It gets too the point where once a new game is announced you automatically have people trying to see if its competitive. On that note Pokemon being this way makes me wish that there would be a battle revolution game for the Wii U.

WAT!

I don't hate e-sports, but I don't really enjoy watching e-sports too much. Mobas in particular really don't hold my attention. Saying that, I have spent some time watching a few Hearthstone games.

Yes, I like bears.

With e-Sports, I'm a huge fan of fighting game tournaments, but also the occasional RTS (especially Warcraft).
Generally, I'd watch almost every kind of event, if the coverage was a bit better, or the announcers weren't so freaking annoying half of the time (especially on MOBA events!).

For me it depends on the game. I like watching stuff like MOBAs or the raids that Blizzard puts on at Blizzconn. FPS depends on the game really, like I really want to see how Overwatch looks as an e-sport.

The only thing I don't like about e-sports is the actual name e-sport. To me there is nothing sporty about an e-sport. When someone says sport I think of stuff like baseball, football, soccer an athletic competition of sorts with gaming there is nothing athletic going on. The should call them like e-competitions or something of that nature.

I think Wild Gunman should be one.

I like gaming (obviously, I have an account here, after all), so there's no reason to hate it. I find it only positive that gaming becomes all the more popular and this helps spread a positive message. Nope, I don't follow e-Sports, though: much rather play myself than watch others do it.

Currently on the plate:
Mount and Blade: Warband – Napoleonic Wars
Chivalry
Super Mario 3D World – Finishing the last few levels.
Mario Kart 8

I have nothing against it, but it just isn't my thing.
The name "e-sport" bothers me though. I've never considered gaming to be a sport. It's a recreational hobby like reading.

I don't care for it,but I do enjoy watching some competitive Smash Bros. tournament videos just to see some of the impressive stuff pros pull off that I can't.Though,I do find some rules and the community kind of dumb or annoying. But it's not a real harm to the general gaming community,so I don't mind.

Currently playing:A little bit of everything :D
Fan of:Adventure Time,The Legend of Korra,The Amazing World of Gumball,Regular Show,Futurama, and gaming on handhelds, consoles, and the PC.
