Buy? I think that'd be too much. Unless they're going completely bankrupt like Atlus (which Nintendo should buy RIGHT NOW before someone else does), buying a developer studio sounds more like one of Microsoft's lame moves. Now, getting an exclusivity deal with a developer is a different story, and I think there's one studio Nintendo should talk to: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/mightyno9/mighty-no-9
I do think they should buy some great unused IPs though. Megaman, Bomberman, and Banjo come to mind. Please watch the profanity — TBD

Who I think they should buy? I don't know enough about any one company's financial situation to guess whether or not it'd be a good business decision for Nintendo or the other company for that to happen.
Who I'd like for them to buy?
WayForward - Whether you think they're overrated or not, there's no denying that no other company has been consistently releasing good to great sidescrollers as much as WayForward has in the past few years (DuckTales Remastered, Aliens Infestation, Mighty Switch Force!, Mighty Switch Force! 2, Shantae: Risky's Revenge, etc). They'd be great to handle a new 2D Metroid game, or traditional Kirby platformer (heck, maybe they could even bring some charm back to the NSMB series).
Nicalis - While they're not known for developing games, they do a great job of porting & updating indie games for console releases. Under Nintendo, maybe they could spend their time updating aged or forgotten Nintendo titles of yesteryear (Metroid II, Zelda II, Solar Striker, etc) for release on eShop, alongside snagging some indie goodies as eShop exclusives (console wise). Maybe Nintendo would straighten out they're whole release scheduling debacle as well, lol.
Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)
nintendo should buy game freak fully(if you did not know there 2 party) because who going to make pokemon if they are gone(nintendo owns pokemon i know its confusing) plus if they owned game freak we might see the return of pulseman and Drill Dozer!!!!!!
Playing: Wargroove on Switch and Fire Emblem on GBA
I don't think Nintendo needs to buy Xseed. Nintendo of America just needs to stop blowing at localizing games. Europe got absolutely fantastic localizations of Xenoblade and The Last Story, published by Nintendo. It was Nintendo of America that dropped the ball there. Someone needs to give their head a shake.
Capcom would be nice. There's a lot of great IP there that deserves better management.
Good calls. Would bring something in house for Nintendo that they don't already have.
Mistwalker maybe? They don't seem to be doing much these days, but there's a lot of great talent in that studio.
tri-Ace and tri-Crescendo. Again, a lot of talent that in those studios. tri-Ace went from making consistently great JRPGs to being SE's code monkeys. SEGA seems to be throwing them a bone now, though, with Resonance of Fate and Phantasy Star Nova, but not on Nintendo platforms.
So Anakin kneels before Monster Mash and pledges his loyalty to the graveyard smash.

XSeed is just a publisher, they don't make games.
Exactly, which I why I say that Nintendo doesn't need to buy them, they just need to get better at publishing games.

I don't think Nintendo should necessarily buy new studios. Instead, they should expand the studios they already have. Trying to convert outside studios to Nintendo's methodology behind game design isn't exactly easy to just get people behind. You kind of have to get used to Nintendo first. Just look at comments by employees at Retro.
