It's funny, when I started to think on this subject, I realised that the majority of the games I'd been playing through 2014 were games I got in the latter half of 2013 or got for Christmas. I mostly remember playing Bravely Default, Pokémon X and Y, The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD, and Super Mario 3D World, yet those are all 2013 games (in the UK). I can think of enough games of 2014 to make a top 6 though.

I do top 6 because it's my favourite number, though ironically due to indecisiveness on my half, it ends up being a top 5 anyway. So my top 5 games of 2014 are as follows:

I've yet to start Bayonetta or its sequel, but overall I would say 2014 was pretty all right for the Wii U. 3DS kind of sucked for the first time. Both are still missing their Metroid game though, so I'm hoping 2015 brings that franchise to the new generation.
