Topic: Favorite Mario Party Minigames?

I've played most of the Mario Party games, and I was wondering what are some of the most popular minigames? My favorite Mario Parties are 4, 5, 6, and DS, mainly because of their minigames.

From Mario Party 4, I love Trace Race, Dungeon Duos, and Avalanche!
From Mario Party 5, I love Hotel Goomba, Later Skater, Bus Buffer, and Sky Survivor.
From Mario Party 6, I love Freeze Frame, Granite Getaway, Mowtown, Clean Team, Insectiride, Lab Brats, and Dunk Bros.
Lastly, I love pretty much all of the Mario Party DS minigames, I think they were very well done!

You don't have to know the name of the minigame as long as you describe it.
So, what are some of your favorite Mario Party minigames?

Mario Party Bombs Away,Face Lift,Desert Dash,Ghost Guess
Mario Party 2 Move to the Music,Honeycomb Havoc,Bumper Balls
Mario Party 8 Mario Matrix,Lava or Leave 'Em,At the Chomp Wash,Cosmic Slalom,Specter Inspector,Cardiators
And that's it the reason it's short cause the rest are fun,but not my favorites, the ones i named are the one's i can name and describe by heart for some reason. Yeah i know i'm weird.

Did anyone like the mic minigames? I thought they were okay, but the mic didn't always understand my command. I'll glad they didn't continue using mic minigames in the newer Mario Parties.

I like the mic minigames. Expect for the minigame where you needed to blow against the piranha plant in Mario Party DS.

I can't remember which early GameCube Mario Party game it was, I think it's either 4 or 5 but it the one where you can buy and collect custom parts for your vehicle to battle. It was a great way to spend points compared to just buying figurines, models, diorama like some of the other Mario Party game. I wish I owned that particular one.

@ultraraichu: I'm pretty sure it's Mario Party 5, since I remember Mario Party 4 having the character themed houses as the prizes.

@Blue_Blur: Awesome, thanks. Now I know which one to buy if I come across it again in store, or wishful thinking rerelease on the VC.

I actually liked them precisely because of the comical inaccuracy. It'd make it hard to keep a straight face through the minigame, and in the chaos it just went downhill, and then my friend and I would start yelling stuff to throw it off even more while someone is using it.

My favorite minigame was probably always... I think it was called Bumper Balls? Everyone balanced on a ball trying to knock their opponents off the stage. Maybe my memory is foggy but I think I remember incarnations of it in multiple games as well as a solo version of it where you had to navigate a stage Super Monkey Ball style.

Though actually, my absolute favorite (though maybe this doesn't count as a minigame was the mode in Mario Party 3 with two players and you get a partner (whomp, bob-omb, etc) and go around a map trying to deplete the opponent's health... Maybe it was called Duel Mode? I've been wishing for a VC release of that game for ages solely to play that mode, I wish they'd bring it back!

@ShadJV: I would love a VC release of Mario Party 3, since I've never played it before. Based on how you described it though, it sounds really fun! And out of curiosity, have you ever played Mario Party 2? If so, do you think Mario Party 3 is better than Mario Party 2? I didn't like Mario Party 2 that much, I felt like the CPU's were constantly cheating. On one of the boards, I landed on a normal blue space. A couple of turns later, one of the CPUs, (I think Yoshi) landed on the same blue space I did earlier and found a hidden block with a star in it! So unfair!!! So, I'm hoping Mario Party 3 is at least a little more fair, or I hope the game hides how it cheats better.

@Blue_Blur: yes, I did play 2 (I've played nearly all of them), the original trilogy will always be my favorites but I do feel 2 is the weakest of them. 3 is my all time favorite so yes, I do feel it's better than 2. It just hit all the right notes, in my opinion.
