It's pretty much a JRPG with optional parts and elements of the gameplay taken from either WRPGs or JRPGs probably influences by WRPGs.

Dragon''s Dogma just uses one of the WRPG motifs. Its an JRPG though.

Wish there were more isometic boulders gate style fogs for handhelds.

Also Obsdian just started their kickstrter today.

just bought witcher 2 so far...... i gotta say my friends were right it is really boring but i cant leave a game unfinish or that wouldnt be me
i guess so far wrpg arent my thing are there anyother wrpg i should try that are good? or should i just stay away from wrpgs?

i played borderlands 1 i loved it i cant wait for some borderlands 2 but i dont think bordelands of a rpg i just think it as a FPS

If you can't appreciate The Witcher 2 you should probably give up on games entirely.

I have absolutely no reason to believe anyone could be completely serious saying this, nor do I have any reason to believe you wouldn't be completely serious saying this. It's contradicting weirdness.
