Anybody else listen to the new version yet and what do you think of it. I found it pretty good expect the Rap part at the end which should have been in the middle with the othe rap chorus.
EDIT: Spelling fixed out of respect for the affected (and Machu's sanity).
I don't think that rap part should have been in there at all. It sounded horrible. Plus Wyclef Jean single-handedly destroyed anything that was ever good about that song. And I don't think I need to say anything about the autotuning.
Bill Gates' foundation will be giving 10 BILLION dollars over the next ten years to provide vaccines to the world's poorer countries. You don't see him making a song.
I'll spare you all the hateful rant I have for campaigns like this one.
Well, it was a nice 2010 mix since they kept some of the original audio but there were a few great bits, but also some problems.
Sure, there was Wyclef Jean. At least he has a motive for being more active in the song. Haiti's his homeland.
The rap was okay. It sounded more like slam poetry in a sense.
The autotuning... Well, this is 2010. Times changed obviously but apparently the artist forgot how the original had no such thing and still sounded good.
They had something for everyone: the kids (Justin Beiber, Miley Cyrus, Jonas Brothers), teens and young adults (most of the artists involved like P!nk, Usher, Akon, T-Pain, Jennifer Hudson, John Mayer etc.) and a few old favorites like Celine Dion and Barbra Streisand.
Overall, the song sounded pretty good, aside from the rants about how Miley's usual howling was involved or the auto-tuning or how X was causing Y. I liked it, at least it matches to the original.
