Topic: Vista vs. XP

I had to buy a new laptop last year, so I've had Vista for over a year now....and it's by far the most clumsiest OS I've ever used. I don't like the interface at all. XP was perfect to me. What do you think of Vista?

Terrible. I never use the computer anymore because it's so slow and clumsy; I use the laptop which has XP and I love it.

Hide, Vista is coming... * Tremble * My old laptop has Vista and 2 gigs of RAM and that thing just will not work fast at all. I got my new one with XP and love it. May change to Linux one of these days.

I have had Vista for a year and a half now and it is pretty slow. I have thought often about buying XP and just getting rid of it but I only use it mainly for the net and a few games. Overall I liked XP better as in terms it ran faster. Currently though I also use Ubuntu quite a bit nowdays when I am not watching videos on Netflix's website or playing games on my pc.

Why not just wait for Windows 7 to come out. I hear at the end of October it will be out. Anyway I like Vista over Xp it runs a whole lot faster, and I actualy like the interface.

I never quite understood what people didn't like exactly about Vista (If someone could fill me in, that would be great) , it always seemed faster to me than XP but that could just be the computer/laptop I'm using. What's the new features for Windows 7 over Vista?

I'm with you there. I think it's been blown out of proportion. I like Vista a lot. I don't know what the big deal is.

From what I understand about Windows 7 is that they fixed some of the flaws of Vista. Plus Windows 7 is to be more like (gasp!!) a Mac.
