Will you guys ever make video reviews to go with your written reviews? It would be a nice way to show off different points on games, and be easier to explain some other points that are hard to. It would also show off the gameplay aspects and what you would be seeing, doing, and hearing when playing the games.
I vote Nintendo Life hired AlexSays and makes him do Zero Punctuation-like reviews
They couldn't afford me.
I don't know if NintendoLife has the resources though to make video reviews. Especially since they have to pop out reviews for Wii, WiiWare, DS, DSiWare, VC, and retro games.
I've also never thought seeing the reviewer would somehow convey something the written review could not. Sure seeing gameplay might help, but there's tons of sites that already have that covered.
Hah, yeah, I can't imagine that you guys would want to see us (regardless of how pretty we are), but I like the idea of video reviews. I suppose (well, hope) that's one of the future possibilities.

Yup, spot on, we just don't have the resources at present. We've been dabbling with doing podcasts however, this is something you should see more of in the future.
I much prefer the written word for delivering reviews myself. As much as I enjoy Joystiq's editorial I have been pretty disappointed with their video reviews:
This one amounts to the reviewer playing the game badly and just saying what he sees. Not really very enlightening.
I do like the idea of AlexSays doing AVGN / Zero Punctuation style video reviews for Nintendo Life, but he charges $5 an hour, there's no way we can afford that!
I'd love to take a crack at it but my PC doesn't have the horsepower for decent video editing. Podcasts are way more feasible, maybe for round-table discussions and whatnot, but do you really care what we think?
Roundtable discussions would be good. I love the Go Nintendo live stream linked in with IRC too. The only thing I beg of you guys if if you do a podcast: don't make the shows suck as much as the WiiDS Podcast does. Keep it short and accurate - both things WiiDS fails to do frequently.
Now you Calculon are not shy of expressing your opinions, perhaps we should give you your own AVGN style video review section? Would you like to audition for us?
@Dazza: Perhaps they should both do it, but at $10 an hour, they're too expensive. I mean, to keep them for a year, Corbie would have to givve up one whole arcade machine! Woe is he
I could do some vids on my youtube and if you like them, you could link them? Just throwing ideas out there.

I think that'd be a good idea to experiment with. What game would you review first?
I've done a review of Apollo Justice already. I can cover around 100 games on GCN, N64, Wii, VC, WiiWare, GBA, and DS. I plan on downloading SameGame and something else next week, so those might be next. My youtube is listed in my tag but i might make a new one specifically for this if Nintendo-Life wants me to this.

Dazza - the podcasts we have done? You guys were all too cowardly to record two minutes of talking!
I personally think video reviews are great but if you ask me they're best written up beforehand, otherwise they're just talking and mumbling which everybody has enough of in real life. I have done some very poor shows in the past (available on YouTube I believe if anybody wants a laugh!) but I'm all for letting someone else take on this one.
Objection Blaster - I'll take a look at your videos in a bit!
I'm Ok the way things are with gameplay videos and written reviews. I'm interested to see how Nintendo Life's podcasts are. Right now I listen to Ign's NVC and Retrocity (which has now ended )

The royal we of course! I fully admit I had no involvement in any of this
Dig up demon212. He used to do them for fun. Of course you had to listen to a VERY british accent and he used to go off on tangents and it was just a hand cam of his tv, but he did a better job than i could do
