I'd gladly take a 45 minute Metroid special, and Fire Emblem would work very well.

There was the Kid Icarus anime stories, but I'm guessing we're talking about full season/movie length stuff here. With that said there is SUPPOSED to be a collection of animated Pikmin shorts that were meant to come out just before the release of Pikmin 3, and Miyamoto, who actually has a direct hand in the making of said animations, even hinted at the possibility of them becoming a full series should the videos be popular enough. But so far absolutely nothing has been spoken of them since their initial announcement back in March, so I seriously worry if those Pikmin videos will ever see the light of day...

Biggest Pikmin fan on NL!

Avian fact of the week: The Moa, an extinct relative of ostrichs and emus that inhabited New Zealand, was the tallest bird that ever lived at 12 ft tall (3.6 m). It was also the only known bird to have no wing structure.

Boo! What about western games that would make good cartoons?

Outside of Sly Cooper, I can't honestly think of anything that'd make a good cartoon...anime would be much easier to think of, since they share more common elements than western games do to cartoons.

Anyways, if Solatorobo got an anime, it'd be a dream come true. It'll never happen, but I can dream...

Xenoblade is the only game that's coming to mind that I think would be well fit for an anime.

Favorite Game: Metroid Prime Hunters

Literally every episode would require a recap to keep people informed, though.

I own a Wii U and 3DS. I also own a PS4!

Every anime ever already does that.

Funny story, there was a Fire Emblem anime, and it was... ok... but nothing great.

OT: As someone who's seen & reviewed a few video game anime, I feel that while an animated series can be done right, there has been a lack of effort on creators to have such done well. I have yet to see an anime that is a good watch on its own. If Ninja Gaiden can have an anime made out of its source material that completely fails, no game or game universe is an automatic guarantee for the medium.

Fragile Dreams: Farewell Ruins of the Moon. Without the terrible gameplay, it could have been a true masterpiece.

Beyond Good and Evil 2 better be happening! In the meanwhile though, here's a fun little Let's Play of the original. Think you'll like the game if you like Zelda!

A Fire Emblem Awakening anime by ufotable.

Why do people point to their wrists when asking for the time, but don't point to their crotch when they ask where the bathroom is?

Some sort of Metroid special could work.

Actually, a Kingdom Hearts mashup of anime & hand drawn western animation could be pretty awesome, and Square Enix & Disney have the resources & connections to pull it off.

It wouldn't have to be overly serious or anything. Just have the various main characters get together for some reason, and have some sort of giant Heartless crash the party, so everyone gets the chance to show off their moves.

@RR529 I heard there was a Kingdom Hearts manga, I wonder why it didn't become anime.....

Maybe the phoenix wright series and zero escape series would work. I mean they have a nice plot and enjoyable characters. Not to mention making an anime out of it would make more people interested in the franchises. Not to sure if it could work since the exploration/finding contradictions in phoenix wright and the puzzle solving in zero escape add a lot of enjoyment and without them it might be alot less enjoyable.

WarioWare would be perfect for anime. It already is in the style to begin with, and I catch myself envisioning anime scenes of Wario, Kat and Ana, and the misadventures of the whole crew. I'd watch it anytime I could.
