Hey. I'm trying to find some free game music mp3 downloads, but I'm having trouble. I fiddled with VGMusic.com for a while, but they just have .mid files, and the best I can seem do with that is create a data disk, which I can't play in my car or on a CD player... does anybody have any sites where you can download free VG mp3 files to your computer?

You can try Galbadia Hotel, which is this website: http://gh.ffshrine.org/ . It's worked for me in the past.
Thanks given to Xkhaoz for that one avatar. Please contact me before using my custom avatar!

@V8: yeah, cheetah linked me there and it has some useful stuff. even better, though, I just found a site that will take a youtube video and turn it into an mp3, so i can have anything someone's made on youtube now on a CD. Galbadia was missing a lot of stuff, but youtube has everything and more. thanks, though!

What I do is download spc soundfiles from the Internet (they range from 200kB to 5000kB) and with a winamp plugin (snesAmp) play the tracks through winamp.
Interestingly, winamp comes with a plugin of its own (Nullsoft Disk Writer), where you can save anything you play in WAV (and I assume mp3) format - including these spc files to a common directory on your hard drive.
You can find different plugins for different systems, but I can't currently get some of the plugins to work properly (snesAmp is solid, and is working perfectly), though for convenience I'd probably have a look at "http://gh.ffshrine.org/".
