I think that it's all pretty funny, though it does take a long time for an actual story to work. But the characters are pretty funny and the show is interesting

The second half of season four (which we're in right now) actually seems pretty weak to me, by Venture standards. I adored the first half...but this half seems pretty aimless.

That said, the detective agency episode was brilliant, the butterglider one was good, and this past weekend's Quizboy episode was strangely moving, so it's not all bad. Just overall, it seems a little...meandering. Looking forward to the finale, though. They have a load of plot strings to tie up, so I wonder what they'll do with all of it.

@Chicken, yah I to was moved by this weeks episode, It showed a lighter side of the show, also I wonder whats going to happen with Monarch and Dr. Girl Friend (Misses the monarch) I mean in the butter glider one Monarch paid a ton more attention to his butter glider then Dr. Girl Friend, and Last week 21 and Dr. Girlfriend kissed.

Hey, you try to watch Venture Brothers in canada. It's nearly immposible to.

I'm not all that familiar with The Venture Brothers, save for the fact that I read it's supposed to pay homage to Jonny Quest and I must admit it does look at lot like Jonny Quest.

So could you folks please feel me in a bit on the show and explain if it really is worth a Jonny Quest fans time to sit down and watch The Venture Brothers?

I really wish Cartoon Network would order new Jonny Quest and The Pirates of Dark Water shows just as they've ordered new Thundercats and Looney Tunes shows.

In the time it would take any of us to list reasons for you to watch it, you could just grab an episode and see what you think. adultswim.com always has three or so episodes up for viewing.

But yeah, it's not at all like Jonny Quest. It pays homage, and Jonny shows up every so often, but part of the joke is that even though this is a family of adventurers, we catch them much more frequently sitting around and squabbling about pointless things. It's more a comedy of human interaction than anything else, but it's damned good, and it's worth a few minutes of your time to see if you like it. If you don't, just stop watching the episode. If you do, prepare to be hooked.

@TokyoRed: before you decide to check it out or not, be aware that Venture Bros. is chock-full of adult themes and humor. it is most definitely not a family TV show (and that's part of why i love it IMO, lol). if you go into it thinking you're just gonna be watching some good, squeaky-clean adventures, you are in for one helluva shock.

I like Venture Brothers. It's funny at times and the allusions to other shows are welcome. I'm not exactly a fan, though, since it's a bit too crude at times, but I still like it well enough. Better than most shows on Adult Swim.

If anyone wants recommendations, Adult Swim has a bunch of episodes up right now, three of which happen to be some really excellent ones. I can definitely recommend any of the following:
