Making a thread over this question I'm about to ask is useless, would take up space, would probably be locked soon afterward, and the moderater would point me to here, so I'm not going to waste time. Anyway, I'm needing help here.
I'm planning on getting a job this May (Fifteen right now, turn sixteen in April 20th) and getting a Playstation 3 when I get the money to do so. However, I'm starting to have doubts about me getting an Playstation 3. But why? I really do want one and there are many games I want on that system that will never be made available on the Wii.
Well, it's because of the fantastic lineup that the Wii is going to have in 2010. Here are a list of games in 2010 that I want (Available now and coming up)
Tatsunko Vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-StarsSuper Mario Galaxy 2Metroid: Other MZelda Wii 2No More Heroes 2: Desperate StruggleMonster Hunter TriTales of GracesSin & Punishment 2Span SmashersUno!Monado: Beginning of the WorldThe Last StoryRed Steel 2The GrinderEpic MickeyPikimin 3Bonk: Brink of ExtinctionBomberman Blast: BattlefieldZangeki No ReginleivLine Attack HeroesFlip's Twisted WorldEndless Ocean: Blue WorldSuper Monkey Ball: Step & Roll
And those are just games for next year and beyond. I also have to catch up on many Wii titles that I'm missing out on, not to mention WiiWare and Virtual Console stuffs. Combine that with the fact that the economy sucks, I have to use most of the money on my family and more important suffs, and that I getting into MS DOS gaming (With DOSBOX as the emulator), I'm starting to have doubts to see if I should get an Playstation 3. Regarding all that, if I get a job, should I save up the money to get an Playstation 3? Or should I get more Wii and DS games?

@Mickeymac: Compare this to my Wii list:Playstation 3 Wishlist for 2010:
BayonettaMAGFinal Fantasy XIIIFinal Fantsy XIVGran Turismo 5 (My most anticapted title this generation)Modnation RacerWhite Knight ChroniclesBattlefield: Bad Company 2Super Street Fighter IVBioshock 2BlurDC Universe OnlineGod of War IIITwisted Metal
So that twenty-three Wii games I'm anticapating in 2010 and fourteen PS3 games I'm anticapating in 2010. Keep in mind that these games are just for this year. Take a look back and you might discover that I have hundreads of games on both systems that I want to get. But for now, just compare the 2010 list.

I mean in total. Since you are gonna get more than just brand new games, right? If you need to trim the list, just put down stuff that you would definitely buy.

Well well, now that you've put it into perspective, I'd actually say saving up for a PS3 would be a good idea. All the games you would definitely get are either cheap, or will be cheap soon. Not to mention most of the 2010 Wii games you want aren't coming out for a good long while(not to mention we know nothing about most of those other than their names and a brief description of what the developers are trying to do with the gameplay), it'll give you plenty of time to catch up. I also see you're a fan of Racing game, and considering the Wii's horrid selection, it would be a mistake not to get an HD console.
Also, did you mean Arkham Asylum 2? Because Arkham Asylum 1 is already out. And I'm pretty sure the PS3 has UNO. In fact, I think it has multiple UNO games.

I understand what Mickeymac is saying, and agree that the PS3 console is pretty sweet... but if money really is limited you still get better bang for your buck sticking with Wii. For the price of the PS3 console alone, you'd be giving up on 8-10 Wii games that you could be playing... and (going forward) new games on Wii are consistently less and tend to drop in price consistently faster.
If you have the cash, go for the PS3. It's a great system and well worth owning. If you really are strapped for cash, then sticking to Wii will likely give you more games to enjoy (and good games too, if sticking to your list) than you'll have time to play.

@Mickeyman and ejamer: Keep in mind that right now, getting an Playstation 3 is impossible. However, that will change once I get a job sometimes in May or June (16th birthday on April). My goal is to reach $1299. But why that if a PS3 cost only $300?:
1. First of all, I'm doing this partly to help my family. We are struggling and I have to give half the money I earn to my family. My grandmother didn't ask me to, but I'm going to do it to help my family. I can't be afford to be greedy.
2. With the money I keep, I'm using three-fourth of the money on more important stuffs. To eat out off-campus during school days, to eat in the cafeteria during school days, a car, etc.
Those reasons are why. They won't stop me from getting an Playstation 3, but they will make an considerable delay depending on the situation. If I can get a job very early the summertimes or even in May, I should be able to get an Playstation 3 sometimes late into summer or early-mid fall (I did a lot of math, and I included sales taxes). The only thing that might stop me is if I get fired from my job (If I can find one), have to quit, or a new Nintendo console is announced. Thanks for the help there.
@Mickeymac: I fixed that mistake on Batman: Arkham Asylum. I put in the sequel instead. Also, I heard the PS3 version of Uno is better then the Xbox 360 version. And you're right, I'm a huge fan of the racing genre, especially semi-realistic ones like Gran Turismo (My favorite racing video game series).
As for right now, I will be getting an Playstation 3 when I can get the money, so I just want to say thank you all who helped here.

@Super Smash Bros. Fan1999
Cool, good luck with that.
Anyways, in a vain attempt to get myself to play anything other than Final Fantasy XI, I think it's time for another installment of "what game should I play?". Okay, which one of these games do you think I should play:
And please, for the love of G-d, don't say 'all of them', or 'none of them'.
392. Posted: Sun 31st Jan 2010 20:18 GMT
Prince of Persia. I've only played the 360 one, but it is great so I expect the rest of the series to be great.
Is it after 9PM EST? You should probably ignore the above post.
393. Posted: Sun 31st Jan 2010 20:21 GMT
@Mickey I'd go with Shadow of the Colossus
394. Posted: Sun 31st Jan 2010 21:29 GMT
It's been pretty good so far, but to be honest, the 360 one has little or nothing to do with the rest of the series.

Still taking suggestions...yeah...
396. Posted: Mon 1st Feb 2010 02:34 GMT
Wait, what doesn't have to do with the rest of the series, story or gameplay?
397. Posted: Mon 1st Feb 2010 02:40 GMT
@Mickeymac: I'd go for Spiderman 2.
Anyways, I need some help. I got 2000 points today and downloaded Castlevania Rebirth (fantastic game BTW). I've got 1000 points left and thought of three options:
Get SCIV and go all Castlevania.Get Excitebike World RallyWait 'till tomorrow and see if we get Tomena Sanner or Max & The Magic Marker.
What should I do?
Jesus is the only way.
It's OK for someone to have an opinion. This ain't the Soviet Union you know.

Wait until tomorrow, then when we're disappointed yet again, get Super Castlevania 4 and forget all about 'em.
both. They're both 3D platformers, but they're very, very different gameplay and story-wise.

I would say you should either get all of them, or none of them.
I've heard good things about Prince of Persia: Sands of Time

Was that directed to me? or to Cheetahman?
If it's me you're referring to, I already have all those games, I just can't decide which one to play.
If you're referring to Cheetahman, he can't get all of them, only one of them, since he only has 1000 points to work with.
If you're referring to something I can't seem to understand, please specify it.
...and if you were referring to me, and you're doing this just to spite me, please stop.
