@faint Really? Devil May Cry was actually well-known? I don't remember ever hearing about it. I just remember hearing about the second game onward. I guess I'm just remembering wrong. Thanks for clearing that up.

How is that Dmc game? The reboot of Devil May Cry? That could be counted as Underrated. I swear, last year, you couldn't get anyone on the internet to shut up about how Devil May Cry was "Ruined" I never seen such outrage for a video game ever.
Sonic Unleashed
I could list off this game's flaws and its glitches, but I see no reason to care. This is interactive euphoria. (Not to be confused with interactive Ufouria, though that's not a bad game either.)
Some others:
Kirby Mass Attack got positive reception and all, but doesn't seem to be one of the more popular Kirby games. This is a shame, because it happens to be an absolute masterpiece. I guess being released in the same year as the 3DS and Kirby's Return to Dream Land didn't help it.
Paper Mario: Sticker Star gets a lot of hate for abandoning the RPG roots of its series. I love it for doing so, especially in an age where RPG elements are shoehorned into games as if they automatically make them better. The stickers afford a refreshing degree of freedom in battle, a far cry from the restrictive days of regular attacks and FP, and the whole adventure has a similar open-endedness that makes it a joy to explore. Plus, permeating the game is a sense of wit that reaches beyond the confines of dialogue, which this game does not throw all over the place yet gets quite right.
Sonic Lost World is not the revolution that was Sonic Unleashed, but it's still one of the funnest games on Wii U. I won't call it perfect (what is up with that Magenta Rhythm power? and that plot?), but some critics panned it for downright stupid reasons, such as the non-patronizing yet reasonable difficulty, the fact that the controls take some learning rather than offer no interesting or fun quirks, and the horrible plot. (Seriously, since when have people been playing Sonic games for their stories? Sonic Adventure games I can understand, or Shadow the Hedgehog if they had hoped that its story would be better…)

Oh yes, i enjoyed Sonic Unleashed alot. at least in the PS3 verison. the Wii's daylight stages kind of seems....empty. i don't know why

I never thought I would want the PS3 version after playing the Wii one; the Wii version got more positive reviews, after all! Then I saw the level I embedded, and saw what I was missing. In fact, this game convinced me to finally get a PS3, along with Sonic Generations since the 3DS version of that had left me wanting more. (I'm sure that was its intended purpose, really.)
Both versions have their advantages and disadvantages. The Wii/PS2 version feels tighter and somewhat more polished, but it also feels much less free. Drifting feels a lot better to me in the Wii/PS2 version, but the action in general is not as kinetic or varied. Outside of the daytime levels, the Wii/PS2 version feels more simple and less full than its HD counterpart, since there are less levels, the villages are menus, and combat in the nighttime stages is simplified. On the other hand, the PS3/360 version has a lot of quicktime events, some of which make bosses a lot less cool (Egg Dragoon), silly Havok physics that aren't implemented very gracefully, and a really lousy final boss.
To be honest I might even say the Wii/PS2 version is underrated among fans of this game. Like the rivalry between the Genesis Aladdin game and the SNES one, and Sonic CD's Japanese and European soundtrack versus its US one, there seems to be this idea where if you like one, you must hate the other. Neither game is the travesty the other side may think it is.
Now that i think about it. Sonic Unleashed daytime stages feel faster than Sonic Generations. I don't know how to explain this. But it is the same way with the PC and the PS3 version of Sonic Transformed. The PC verison feels smoother and faster for some reason.
@DiscoDriver43 The PC version of Sonic Generations runs smoother as well. If the PC is capable enough, it can run those games a lot smoother than the consoles can.

Far from perfect, but still highly worth playing. It's amazingly odd and incredibly satisfying. I'm still impressed with how well the voice controls work. There really isn't another game like it.
Anyone ever known about this obscure racing game named Re-volt?
