Well, to be fair, don't most companies want you to pre-order movie tickets? Weren't Star Wars pre-order tickets very high?

Wait... just clicked the link.... wtf?

For $1,200, you can own a replica crossbow prop from Kernel, a company that pairs merch with advance ticketing. For $500, your bedroom can become a shrine to a hand-painted statuette. Those of us in the cheap seats may prefer the $15 package, which includes a LED watch and temporary tattoos. Each package includes a a digital copy of the script and a ticket to see the film, which won't be in theaters until December.

People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

I preordered tickets to watch the star wars movie last year.

Along with a blue-ray copy of the film.

Buying tickets for a film in advance is nothing new. Hell even preordering games date back to the original Atari with games like Swordquest. There is nothing wrong with paying in advance for a product that you already plan on buying.

I don't see the problem. If you're excited for the movie and have tons of money, why not go for it?

I think it is a little absurd to have $1,200 pre-order packages for a movie

Makes about as much sense as preordering games. Or preordering anything, unless you expect it to be sold out.

It's dangerous to go alone! Stay at home.
