Iwata faked me out twice today. He said, "You may recognize Lucas as the character from Mother 3, the sequel to Earthbound that was never released in the west. Well, we heard the fans requests, and... he's being released as a smash bros character."
Then at the end I was absolutely confident as they were going through the old clips of Mario Kart and talking about all of the great ways to play the game and the fun that people have had with the game over the decades. 50 cc, 100 cc, 150 cc.... I was so sure that they were leading up to battle mode and were going to announce real battle mode levels. Got me again Iwata!
