I could SWEAR there's a song out there just like this, but I have no idea what the title and artist are.
My only comparison is that the composer of Jet Set Radio combined the weird singing children from Diddy Kong Racing with Katamari on the Rocks. Shockingly that's not a sentence I expected to ever say.
Seriously, the chords are practically the same. Disappointing as hell compared to more eclectic earlier albums.
Also to comic effect, several times in We're Only In It For The Money by Frank Zappa and The Mothers of Invention (Are You Hung Up? and part of Concentration Moon, What's The Ugliest Part of Your Body and (Reprise)

Actually, it was a song I heard at the gym that reminded me of Billy Hatcher. Specifically, the song had a guitar solo with the melody from 0:13-0:56 of the video.
Nice examples, everyone! I mean, they're not ALL nice. But some of them really border on plagiarism.
For the most part they sound very different but the first few seconds of Galaxy Plant from Super Mario Galaxy and Before the Demise from Tales of Innocence sound pretty similar.
OH! I totally forgot, but Harvest Moon: Hero of Leaf Valley's Spring and Winter songs kinda sound like taken from a The Legend of Zelda game, don't you think?
