Well, USA and Canada together are considered the "domestic market," but I think the real question is, do American films seem foreign to you? :P

I gave myself a self-imposed limit of one film-per-director and went under the assumption that by "foreign films" you meant "foreign-language (non-English-speaking) films", but even then, I had a tough time whittling my list down to just five.

Seven Samurai
Porco Rosso
Amélie
The Good, the Bad and the Ugly
Cinema Paradiso

As always, I reserve the right to change my mind. :p

Some great answers today! Here's mine:

5. the Sorcerer & White Snake (China)
4. Godzilla: King of Monsters (Japan)
3. Painted Skin: the Resurrection (China)
2. 13 Assassins (Japan)
1. InuYasha the Movie 2: Castle Beyond the Looking Glass (Japan/Anime)

As for certain inquiries: Anime & Dubbed films are fine, as well as films made in the U.S., if you live somewhere else (in fact, any films made outside of your country, no matter where you're from, count).

It's weird that I had such a hard time thinking of five villains. I guess I don't watch a lot of anime with clear-cut good and bad characters, since three of those on my list I still wouldn't consider villains :/

always thought I'd change to Gyarados after I turned 20 but hey, this is more fitting I guess. (also somebody registered under the original Magikarp name and I can't get back to it anymore orz)
