I posted a Top Ten Favorite List awhile ago, but so many great games were left out (and my opinion changed some), so here's my Top 15 as of now:

15. Advance Wars Dual Strike (NDS)- My favorite Advance Wars game, as there is just n infinite number of replayability on it. The characters were awesome, the gameplay top-notch, and the real-time battle mode was just a great time-wasting bonus.

14. Final Fantasy VI (SNES / GBA)- Though I liked Final Fantasy I and II on the Dawn of Souls cart (so simple yet addicting), I'd have to say this is the best Final Fantasy that I've played (played almost all of the 2D FFs). Its got the most fleshed out characters, an epic story, addicting gameplay, and graphics and music that will blow you away. Simply a must-have for any RPG fan.

13. Fire Emblem Sacred Stones (GBA)- This is my favorite FE game, since I have several childhood memories with it. Not only that, but its got the most memorable FE characters and some of the best gameplay features in it. It has the perfect amount of characters (Not too much so that you feel overwhelmed in training each and every one of them, but not too little that the enemy overwhelms you), a great story, and is one of the few Fire Emblem games that gives the player access to the world map.

12. Super Metroid (SNES)- I played it for the first time on the Wii's VC, and its the best 2D Metroid by far. Bosses that fill up multiple screens, a large arsenal of weapons and powerups, and some of the best music on the SNES makes this one helluva game.

11. Mega Man 2 (NES)- As with Super Metroid, I played it for the first time on the VC, and its got the perfect variety of weapons and robot masters along with a perfect difficulty to make this one great retro adventure.

10. Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening (GB / GBC)- I bought the DX version off of eBay a few months ago, and this is 2D Zelda at its best. A large variety of equipment (including, surprisingly, the Hookshot), a difficulty that's just right, and some quirky humor are just a few things Nintendo did right in the game. Even with 8-bit graphics, they managed to put together that you could almost mistake for a full-fledged, 16-bit game. Every self-respecting gamer MUST play this game.

9. Donkey Kong Country (SNES / GBA)- I got the game packed in with a lime-green GBA SP for X-mas, and I had such a blast with it that I just had to place it within the top ten. It has some of the best quality graphics, sound, and gameplay on a 16-bit platformer.

8. Jet Force Gemini (N64)- A game that I used to play to death when I was younger. You get a whole bunch of weapons to use on mutant bugs, and the music is... the best on the N64!

7. Mario and Luigi Bowser's Inside Story (NDS)- The best of the M&L games, and one that utilizes the capabilities of the DS in a unique way. It is simply the best DS game available.

6. Metroid Prime (GCN)- Each section of the game is greatly detailed, and the graphics, gameplay, and every thing else about the game is simply amazing. You get a whole bunch of weaponry to kill alien scumbags with, and all of her other abilities are nothing less than awesome. Every Gamecube or Wii owner needs this game.

5. Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga (GBA)- Probably the very game that I had the most fun with on my GBA, its got the perfect mix of adventure, action, platforming, and role-playing. Oh, and the humor will definitely make you laugh. No matter what.

4. Banjo-Tooie (N64)- Another memorable game from my childhood, its got some extremely large levels and some of Banjo's coolest and weirdest transformations. Its simply one of the most fun games in the history of gaming.

3. Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (N64)- Though I played this after playing Twilight Princess, I still found how amazing this game is, considering its hardware, the N64. There are some expert puzzles, a pretty good navigation system, and a story that's just as epic as any RPG. Combine this with the variety of items and bosses in the game and you get what many call the best game of all time.

2. Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker (GCN)- Though it may be because this was the first Zelda game I played, I think this takes the cake as the best Zelda game. There are countless things to do, an ENORMOUS world to explore, several sidequests, and excellent, immersive gameplay. The visuals of the game are nothing less than beautiful, and work perfectly with the game.

1. Super Mario RPG (SNES)- This here's my favorite game of all time. It just has perfect graphics, perfect music, perfect gameplay, perfect characters, etc. This, to me, is the very definition of a perfect game.

It's a difficult one, but I'll do my best. In no particular order:
Conkers Bad Fur Day (N64)- Brilliant gameplay and the most wicked sense of humour I have ever seen in a game.
Elite Beat Agents (NDS)- Best rhythm game I have ever played, and who would not want to be a secret agent cheerleader.
Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (N64)- My first Zelda game and it got me completely hooked on gaming.
Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask (N64)- Took all the things that made me love Ocarina of Time and recrafted them into a surrealist nightmare I will never forget.
Voodoo Vince (Xbox)- The original concept and great gameplay kept me coming back for months after I finished it for the first time.
Dance Dance Revolution (Arcade)- Nothings works up more of a satisfied sweat than getting down in a crowded arcade.
Capture the Flag (Real Life)- So what if it's not a video game. Nothing better than getting a bunch of mates and having a quick game of flag-capturing goodness.
Jet Set Radio Future (Xbox)- Gorgeous visuals and the greatest video game soundtrack ever. Not to mention the fun of sticking it to the virtual man convinced me that the Xbox did, in fact, kick serious ass.
Burnout (PSP)- It ruled in every possible way. 'nuff said.
Hotel Dusk (NDS)- I don't know why but I just love this game.
Super Mario 64 DS (NDS)- The same great game with added goodness. And on a portable console no less.
Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem (GC)- Creeped me out so much yet still was great to play.
Farenheit (Xbox)- A lot of people would criticise a game almost entirely made out of quick-time events but I was so wrapped in the story I didn't care.
Tetris (GB)- Nothing needs to be said.
Pokemon Red (GB)- Same clasic formula, only catching them all was an achievable feat back then.
Pokemon Snap (N64)- The best photography game ever made.

@briunj04- Yes, I know that. I meant that although I thought BIS was the better game, I had a lot more fun with SS. If you catch my drift...

15. Ys Book I & II (TG16) - This needs to go in here somewhere and it should probably be higher. I just don't know where to squeeze it in.
14. Counter-Strike (PC) - I spent so much time in college with this one. Just the greatest, most customizable, online experience to date.
13. Turok 2: Seeds of Evil (N64) - I wish the controls were a bit more customizable. I can't play this game anymore because even after 4 hours of play I can't get used to the controls.
12. Portal (PC) - There is nothing bad about this game. It's only this far down the list because it's short and there's really not much to it except solving portal-based puzzles. This game is fantastic and everyone should have played through it at least once.
11. Super Mario 64 (N64) - It's Mario. In 3D. I don't know what else to say except that it was pretty much the most amazing game ever when it debuted in 1996.
10. Halo (XBox) - Whatever. I loved this game. I was very proud to be the first person I know to tackle legendary.
9. Grand Theft Auto: Vice City (PS2) - This game really brought sandbox games in the spotlight. GTA III was great, and I actually prefer its plot-line and the feel of the missions. However, Vice City brought us helicopters, motorcycles, and a really bright, sunny environment to play in. Oh, and VRock.
8. Zelda II: The Adventure of Link (NES) - Once you master the jump-slash technique, this game is very challenging and rewarding, without ever feeling unfair. This game really shows its strength when you reach the great palace and use all the skill (actual skill, not power ups or levels) you picked up along the way to tackle the blue bird knights.
7. Super Mario Bros. 3 (NES) - Classic platforming with lots of powerups and a great soundtrack. Also, let's not forget the Tanooki suit and the best Bowser fight to date.
6. Metroid Prime (Wii) - This game retained everything that was great about Super Metroid and put it into 3D. With the original GC controls this wouldn't have made it in my top 50, but once it was ported to the Wii as part of Metroid Prime Trilogy it instantly became one of my favourites.
5. Faxanadu (NES) - If you like action platformers, this is a must-have game on the NES. The story is great, the combat is great, the atmosphere is great, the soundtrack is great.
4. Crystalis (NES) - One of the very first true action-RPGs. Huge overworld, sword/shield/armor upgrades, XP, lots of spells and items.
3. The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask (N64) - Like Ocarina of Time, but better. Better dungeons, better character development, transformation masks, and a dark atmosphere.
2. Super Metroid (SNES) - Great atmosphere and music, difficult without being overwhelming or unfair, and it just has that classic Metroid "oh good I got a new weapon what the hell does this do" feeling that keeps you playing all the way through to the end.
1. The Guardian Legend (NES) - Part shooter, part action/adventure, all amazing. This game had a fantastic soundtrack, memorable bosses, tons of powerups, and was just a masterpiece all around. Compile really knows what they're doing when it comes to shoot-em-ups, and this game is no exception.

4.Super Mario Sunshine- It strays away from the regular Mario story, and has awesome level designs.

1.Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic.-BioWare's best work. Amazing story, great gameplay, memorable characters, awesome environments, they all make this game the best game ever.

The Game.

Is it after 9PM EST? You should probably ignore the above post.

15.) Mass Effect (Xbox 360) – A truly excellent RPG with so many ways to experience. I personally think it’s Bioware’s best game.
14.) Super Mario World (SNES) – A timeless platformer that anyone will enjoy. The amount of levels and secret paths added to the fun.
13.) Half-Life (The Orange Box) (PC) – Half-Life was the first FPS that was able to combine a fun game with an amazing story, mood, and strategy. It still holds up today.
12.) Bonk’s Revenge (Turbografx 16) – It’s the main reason I play video games. I’ve been playing it since I was six months old, and I still go back to it all the time.
11.) Castlevania X: Rondo of Blood (Turbografx 16 CD) – It had a level of polish usually unseen in games at that time, and it was immensely fun. The different characters and branching paths added to it in many ways.
10.) Super Smash Bros. Brawl (Wii) – It’s one of those games anyone can get into and enjoy, but it will take forever for them to master it. There are so many characters, stages, and collectables that it’d be nearly impossible for someone to get everything in the game for years.
9.) Okami (Wii/PS2) – It was able to combine the Zelda-esque gameplay with a wonderful art style, story, and characters. The pacing of the game is perfect.
8.) World of Goo (Wii/PC) – It was proof that you didn’t need big studios or funds to make a fantastic game. I was absolutely amazed when I first played it. I’m serious. It was able to say real issues that were happening in the world without being blunt about it (unlike Eternal Sonata.) The score is extremely well done too.
7.) Halo: Combat Evolved (Xbox) – One of those games that I’ve always loved, despite the hate it has gotten. It combined shooting with strategy, and it had an excellent story, too. Playing the entire campaign with a friend was awesome, and multiplayer was top-notch.
6.) Pokémon Crystal (GameBoy Color) – It amazed me that the amount of content in the game fit on that cartridge. It’s one of my favorite RPG’s ever.
5.) Metroid Prime (Metroid Prime Trilogy) (Gamecube/Wii) – Metroid was able to transcend so well into the 3rd dimension. The fun shooting action was combined with an adventure that was well told and well thought out. The way it combined it all with one of the best senses of mood in a game was icing on the cake.
4.) Ys IV: Dawn of Ys (Turbografx 16 CD Import) – If you haven’t played this game, you’re missing out on what is, in my opinion, the greatest Action RPG ever made. It was super fun, the pacing was perfect, the story was excellent, it was challenging but not frustrating (usually) and did things I thought wasn’t possible on the system. The swansong of the Turbografx.
3.) The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (N64) – It was able to capture everything that was good about the Zelda series, expanded upon it, and made a game that was 10 times as good as its predecessors.
2.) The World Ends With You (DS) – It took everything you knew and loved about RPG’s and crushed it. By doing this it was one of the most original and entertaining games ever. The amount of stuff to really added legs to it, and it has one of the best stories and some of the best characters in a video game.
1.) Super Mario Galaxy (Wii) – It took everything that was loved about Mario 64 and expanded upon it. Everything about it- the gameplay, the pacing, the level design, the art direction, the musical score: it was all so perfect and everything would work with each other perfectly. My favorite video game ever made.

Nostalgia factors VERY heavily in these choices. To be fair 15 isn't really enough either...so many good games!

1) Legend of Zelda - Ocarina of Time - Should need no explanation
2) Sonic 3 and Sonic and Knuckles - First console game I ever owned. I saved up so long to buy a Genesis, because I wanted this game.
3) Mario 64 - Blew my mind with the well executed 3D.
4) Sonic CD - I love the time traveling feature, and the UFO special stages are my favorite. Such a deep game for Sonic.
5) Super Mario Galaxy - All the goodness of Mario 64 with space physics. Win.
6) Tetris - It's Tetris
7) LoZ Twilight Princess - Let's just say when I got this for GC, I would play for 8 hours straight. I wouldn't even realize it until i started getting really hungry.
8) Sonic 2 - Another great Sonic game. Those were the days.
9) Sonic 2 Game Gear - My first videogame ever. The best of the GG/MS ones, so pick it up on VC if you like Sonic!
10) Super Smash Bros. 64 - Ahh, High school Smash tournaments.
11) Goldeneye - Ahh, High school Goldeneye tournaments. Perfect Dark was the better game, but just game out too late in the console's lifespan to really be good for the epic tourneys at parties.
12) Sonic Adventure - For a brief, fleeting moment, great 3D Sonic games seemed possible.
13) Star Fox 64 - Back when Star Fox was about flying around and shooting stuff.
14) Mario Kart Wii - I heart the Kart!
15) Sonic Shuffle - You can keep your Mario Party. It's sort of sick how much fun I had with this game with my bro and friends. It's terrible but loved.

I am way too lazy to think of something clever.

1) Zelda : Ocarina of Time - It was the kind of game i always wanted to play. Everything in this game is just perfect.
2) Metroid Prime : Another gaming perfection. Exploration of Tallon IV is just hooking and the soundtrack is one of the most atmospheric ever.
3) Zelda : Twilight Princess - The magnum opus of current gaming generation. Immersion of the game just beats the competition (sorry, Okami)
4) Super Mario Galaxy : 97 on metacritic, 3rd spot on game rankings. 'nuff said.
5) Zelda : Majora's Mask - Prevent the end of the world and travel in time like in the movie Groundhog Day. This game is a surreal masterpiece.
6) Silent Hill2 - I haven't played Shattered Memories, but the story of this game is propably the greatest i've ever witnessed in videogame, and it's scary as hell too.
7) Final Fantasy VII - Excellent story, beautiful backround graphics and masterful soundtrack combined to most memorable characters in RPG history.
8) Super Smash Bros Brawl - You can play this game forever with friends.
9) Super Paper Mario - RPG platformer with no random enemy encounters, with great story and lots of humor. Win material.
10) Super Mario World - Platforming classic.
11) Mega Man 2 - Brings back childhood memories.
12) Shadow of the Colossus - Definition of epic.
13) Okami - It's cloning Zelda, but it is awesome game with it's own right. One of the most artistic games ever made, Okami looks like a living watercolor painting, and plays like a dream.
14) Final Fantasy IX
15) Metal Gear Solid
