When I was a child, Where the Wild Things Are was hands down my favorite book. With the new movie coming, out I can't help but feel a bit saddened about tarnishing a childhood memory.
What's your thoughts? Destined to be a classic or another example of Hollywood raping our memories?
"The government of the United States is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion."
What exactly happens in the book anyway? I know I knew about the book growing up, but I can't seem to remember ever actually reading it.
The book has Max going to bed without supper, and traveling with his imagination to the Land of the Wild Things. The book actually has very little text and is really told through the fantastic illustrations, which is why I have so many concerns regarding the film.

I don't know about this one...I loved the book as a kid, but it's shorter than the How the Grinch Stole Christmas. I don't know how they can make a movie out of this.

I hae a feeling it's going to be the latter. I'm really getting tired of Hollywood butchering our childhoods to make a quick buck.
