Topic: This website redesign!

I second this issue.

This redesign can't be too bad since I managed to find this forum thread talking about it.

[Cross-posting on the article] The top banner dealie keeps disappearing and reappearing. (I wish it would just disappear.)

Everything is too big now. I'm using a 13-inch laptop that is not always connected to a big monitor. I don't like how more and more sites have been becoming less small-monitor friendly.

Yeah yeah, I'm complaining. Hey, it's constructive feedback.

Um...the site doesn't work well on the Wii U or mobile devices.

Um...I can't comment on articles on my Wii U and iphone browsers and Nintendo Life doesn't even load on the 3DS browser anymore.

Okay @AntDickens can you please add a logout button. This is @Neko_Ichigofan. Epona and I actually use the same Wii U so multiple accounts are used on the device and I'm sure other people have multiple family members who use the site on one device so it's really necessary.

Also I deleted my cookies in the Wii U browser and still can't log out of her account, please help...

Enter Nintendolife.com/desktop then click your user button in the top right, you should have a list of things appear including a log out button.

Agreed. Not feeling the new design.

Is there a way to change it back?

While there are some parts of the redesign that I like, there's a few things I don't. I'm not sure if it's a problem with my laptop's screen resolution or not, but there's a huge chunk of blank space on the right side of the screen at all times. I'm also going to miss the review ticker at the top of the old layout, made seeing all of the recently reviewed titles easier, I think.

I also never liked the mobile type of layout, but that's just me.

I'm still going to visit the site because the content will still be great, but I personally liked the old design better.

@Waluigi I see it now, but can't click it because the Wii U browser bar on the bottom of the screen is in the way! >_<

Also if you click the left thumbstick it makes the bar go away.

Also, I'm definitely not a fan of the redesign it just feels like a cluttered mobile version of the website.

Yeah it's a little cluttered at the moment, it could have benefited from a beta so the issues were worked out prior to launch.

Ant is working on it though, it'll only get better from here

The trending section seems like the closest thing to a top stories section.

I am also having a bit of an issue with the menu disappearing and reappearing on PC, and unfortunately it is a bit annoying to me ;^^. I hope this gets fixed soon as in either that the menu stays on the top no matter what or that you have to scroll all up again to see the menu.

Either way, I hope it will be fixed soon and I wish people in the staff good luck .

Edit: If I use the internet site scroller it get a bit better as the menu disappears usually, but scrolling with the mouse still need to be tweaked as the menu disappear and reappear.

@Waluigi: I don't need the top stories or trending articles, I just want to see the latest articles when I go to this site, that's what I come here for anyway. So, I meant swapping them in the way of moving the latest articles to the top.

It's a great change. It's also very welcome. The old look and feel became stale. This was a long time coming.

I hope the site will make iterative improvements from now on. So far, so good.
