We've been moving in this direction for a while. I predicted a subscription-based YouTube ages ago. And I've been holding onto that for years waiting till I am right.

So either way I win. Either all those videos of scantily dressed younger women remain free, or I am right. I can live both ways.

Wow, just wow to watch a two hour long movie in HD can run about $5.00-$6.00, a dollar less in standard form. The near same price for a standard movie for a 5 minute video is beyond crazy.

No, but seriously, it's only a matter of time before YouTube collapses, and another website springs up to replace it, and then, that website will become overrun with ad's about cars and movies that nobody cares about, just like YouTube.

I'm pretty sure, though, in the case of the other videos, it's just like a video rental store, except digital.
So yes, you have to pay to see certain videos.

Hell yeah, it's not regular videos!!!!! It's just movies! It is, right? I could watch it and the Kingdom Hearts 3D trailer just fine.

I've been able to watch videos on my iPod's YouTube app just fine. Is it only certain videos?
