Don't worry about it. It's just a comment on how bad it is.
Also, yeah, even as a fireworks display it sucks. "Hey, want that certain firework? Pay up, bub! Oh wait, that wasn't the one you wanted? Too bad" And then, there's "oh, it ended sooner than you wanted to? Well, you can wait 3 minutes for a single firework to show, or you could pay up to see the display finish more quickly".
Quick question: would you honestly rather play a game like Ninjabread man or Aquaman: Battle for Atlantis than play Other M?
Yes, anything to erase the still-tainting memories of playing Other M. I'd even play Plumbers Don't Wear Ties. At least its a bad game you can laugh at and have fun with.
On Metroid: Other M, it's not objectively bad (at least according to critics). It may be the black sheep/worst game in the series but it's not bad by all-game standards.
Think of Yellow Submarine by The Beatles or Experimental Jet Set, Trash and No Star by Sonic Youth or the worst album by any artist.
It's the worst by the band, many fans hate it, but by music critic standards it's not burning ears.
Going back to the music standard, I say no inclusion of COD before it's said for the same reasons you wouldn't include any modern popstars.

No, I'm comparing COD to modern popstars. Loads of hate, almost equal to the fans, but almost none are ear-blisteringly awful, more like "Incredibly bland and repetitive" except with music it gets annoying faster.
Take your favorite musician or band, take the black sheep album, and compare Other M to that.

This game and just about every other game on the Game.com (although I have heard good thing about Monopoly and a few others). But this one is the worst out of the very I have played so far.

We're not just talking bad, these are bad among the bad. The worst of the worst.
It can't just be bad in your opinion, either; it has to be considered bad by the general gaming community.
As you can see, he's specifically asking for a majority rules class of games. Other M is not among those games if you look at the reviews and user responses.
Last time I checked, Other M was classified as bad by the general gaming community. It's a little too obvious.

General gaming community? No, more like Metroid fanboys, and even so not all of them.
The general critical consensus is around 79%. That's not "awful". And a lot of bad reviews were bitching about the story or "sexism".

Gaming critics are not the general gaming community. Gamers are and there's a lot of them. Go on a neutral gaming forum ( IGN, GameFaqs, GameTrailers), and ask their personal opinion of Other M. The majority will answer in the obvious direction.
My thoughts (take them for what they're worth):
1. For what the OP defined as eligible to be the worst games of all time, Other M doesn't fit the criteria. As Austroid said, it split the gaming community; it was polarizing, not universally hated.
2. The OP's definition of what games are eligible to be the worst games of all time is boring.
3. Whoever said UFO's games should be here, you are very, very right.

Okay. So it's like Sawdust by the Killers? A half-@$$ed collection of B-sides with Two good songs, a bunch of boring-but-still-listenable songs, and at least one song I have to skip everytime it comes up because its insufferable? ...Yeah, I guess that fits the bill. Still nowhere near the worst album, I'm glad I bought it, but I kinda wish they had more like the two good songs.

You want to hear something weird? I liked Other M's story. In fact, in conjunction with its atmosphere, the story saved what I found to be an otherwise dreadfully boring game. From what I can remember it was super cheesy and awkward, but so lavishly produced and so obviously a labor of love that I found it overall to be quite endearing. It even hit the right cheesy sci-Fi horror notes when it needed to. There's no redeeming Samus's pathetic internal monologues and idiotic thumbs-down flashbacks, though.
Not everyone who played Metroid Other M is a "Metroid fanboy". A lot of people who are not fans have played the game and can provide a valid opinion. Explore the internet.
