I'm so excited to finally have a thread where we can talk about the latest scientific advancements that could potential improve human society as we know it-
oh, it's just a device thread...
Anyways, I was thinking of getting a new PC, a Dell Windows 7 factory for $600, with everything I need except a good graphics card, which I figured I could grab from Best Buy for under $100. But I only need that for PC gaming, and now I'm thinking I'll just stop playing games on my PC. I don't really use my PC games unless I'm playing with friends, and that's rare with my busy schedule now.
Anybody have any idea how long Windows 7 might last? I really don't want to switch to Windows 8 for a ton of reasons...
As far as Phones go, I got a simple slide cellphone that only makes calls and texts, and I have no intention of switching to anything else any time soon.
I got an iPad for my tablet requirements, though I only use it for the internet and watching anime in bed now.
My music players are a 3rd Generation iPod Touch that's only really good for accessing the internet, accessing iTunes, and playing my favorite playlist on the alarm; as well as a 7th Generation iPod Nano that has most of my songs, since it's wi-Fi-less design makes it allowable at my new job.
I don't think I have any other devices that aren't gaming machines...
I'm not looking forward to anything new, device-wise, either. I don't pay attention the new stuff that comes out, and only really do research on anything once my current device in its class are broken. And even then, I mostly just look for something that's exactly like what I had before.
I'm thinking of guying some NFC tags to set up in my bathroom, I'll have an ale am app go off on my phone/tablet that can can't be turned off with Out going to my restroom and clicking the tag.
WAT!

For the record, Gaming PCs should really be built on your own to either
A. Save cash
B. Make a much more powerful computer then ones on the market
It's actually not as hard as you'd think with a tutorial. I know plenty of 14/15 year olds who can do it, many of whom are self-proclaimed unintelligent.
This is a signature.
Link goes here now.
Screw you.
I have a 2nd generation iPod Touch, but all it's good for nowadays is a clock.
My brother got an iPad Mini a couple of weeks ago, but he hasn't let anyone else in the family do anything more than give it a passing glance, when there's a picture he wants to show (It's his, so he can do whatever he wants with it, but it's a bittersweet feeling knowing it's so close, yet so far away, lol).

Check out the Lenovo Touch PC with Windows 8 at Best Buy. It goes for around $700 and should be above average for even the most demanding software. My brother is going to college for digital entertainment, and that PC is strong enough for him to CREATE pretty much any sort of media he would ever want to.
It was the best computer from what I could tell without spending over a grand. Having touch is a benefit, and that has Windows 8 and 7. You would be paying $100 extra for Windows 8 anyway, and you are just getting a better PC altogether. Bundle and save...
It really depends on big of a screen you want, too, but Microsoft Surface mainly costs alot just for the small tablet design, but it is actually just as good minus a 1TB HDD.
If you get the Lenovo(IBM) PC or Microsoft Surface(way better than iPad), you'll be set for a while. Just Google the Lenovo laptop PC.
As far as I know specs wise, it has 1TB, i5, 15" touch screen, 8GB RAM, Dolby compatible, and Windows 8.
As for the OP, Apple kinda sucks now, Android is probably champ for mobile, and Windows works better than Moutain Lion IMO.
I don't get why Apple doesn't just run Mountain Lion on iPad...
I use my iPhone 4S for most of my nintendolife browsing.

I like my current laptop since it's decent/good at PC games, but I want my next computing device to help me better facilitate my life. So my next PC might either be a Chrome book or the latest MacBook Pro. But it's gonna be a while, so I need to start saving soon :/

Chromebooks are for web browsing, that's about it. Macbooks are for the Beats crowd, people who have too much money and only care about looks, not performance.
Lots of censorship here...
