Topic: The Poem Thread

I'm not sure if this a thing already but I want to start to get into poems and I think Nintendolife would be a good way to get a small poem writing/reading community together. Also Fan Fiction isn't poetry...

If I say things
In short bursts
Would it seem
Like it has meaning?

Was the rhyming thread
But this is different
So it doesn't have to rhyme.

In fact, pretty sure the intent of this thread was to read, write, and discuss actual poetry. Correct me if I'm wrong!

Violets are blue
Some poems rhyme
others don't

If things such as games can inspire words,
In rhyming couplets & rhyming thirds,
Then let us all rejoice at life,

Has anyone wrote a poem for someone before?

I have. In school. Haven't done much since.

I made narrative poetry that one time, it was almost all about rhymes, and when I made it, all I had was limes that costed dimes!
