Topic: The photography thread

For photography enthusiasts!

At the moment I'm using an old Canon EOS300D - old faithful, but I've only got a 50mm lens - I really need to invest in something different for non-portrait stuff.

These were taken on a recent holiday to beautiful Tasmania:

Very nice, Elf. That first one is post-card/inspiration-poster quality.

My "old reliable" is a Minolta 7000i. "Old" being the key word. I still need to digitize all my old shots.

Those are really awesome!!!!! You could be one of those guys (or gals) that photograph things (photographer?) Keep up the good work! Im not really good at photography, i perfer drawing but i do like ducks

Thanks guys - I really want a higher quality camera, I am inhibited a little by the technology, but it's a good one for the photojournalism that I sometimes do for my job.

Waltz, where do you host your photos?

Elf how close did that duck let you get? Or is that mainly zoom action? Really clear.

@grensworth, machu - that's some awesome work, guys - you're both really good, imo. I especially love the bees and the waterfall (and the borders )

@aviator - I use photobucket to dump my photos for online use.

@vanyard - I only use a 50mm lens, so I had to get really, really close to the duck to take the photo. Lucky it was very comfortable with humans.
