Personally, I think the perfect game would be Nazi Zombies from CoD World AT War taken to a whole new level. Like Portal 2, it needs its own disc loaded with content.
Single Player mode would resemble "I Am Legend". Your not sure why but most the world has been infected with a disease that has turned almost everyone into zombies. This would be an open world game where your mission is to explore and uncover the mysteries of how all this happened. You would also need to find hideouts or build fortifications to seek refuge in at night (Yes, staying out a night is a bad idea).
Multiplayer would be very similar to the Nazi Zombies style play where you team up with some buddies and try and survive wave after wave seeing how long you can last. Instead of the usual 4 players holding off a mansion or factory, multiplayer would be expanded to 16 players or more, taking place in a large city. When each wave starts, hordes of zombies come out of hiding and attack you. In between each wave, the game would give you enough time to look around, find ammo, strategically place booby traps, barricade yourself, etc. the list goes on. Complete with radar, turrets you can purchase, areas you can unlock, hidden easter eggs, and awesome guns you can find in the most hidden spots would make this a game you'll almost never get tired of.
I already consider Nazi Zombies almost perfect. This^ would be perfect!
The perfect game has already been made. It's called "Life". We all live in it and we all experience it. You could make the argument "No, life isn't perfect, people die and sad things happen". In a sense that's right, but at the same time, isn't that exactly what a game is? There's usually something wrong that needs fixing, and you're out to fix it. Bad things happen along the way too and you might goof up every once in a while. That's what seperates video games from real life though. You play through a game, then "Oh no" you just ran into a deadly turtle with wings. All of the sudden you're dead, then you start right back up again from a certain checkpoint. That's the beauty of life though. Some times there are no second chances. You make mistakes, and try to learn from them, and sometimes you just make the exact same mistake again! It almost makes us want to question "Why do we even play videogames?". Well, they bring us out of our realities and into a new one. When those realities just seem to entertain us. I say that that isn't enough. We sometimes spend 50 hours on some games (and sometimes even more than that!) and during that entire time we often fail to learn anything at all. So what do they do? They make us happier. That's it though. They don't teach how to fix our problems. They just help us deal with them. As an end to this rather long rant, just simply ask yourself, "Why?". You'll end up coming up with more questions than answers, but at least you come up with something.

Yeah but the graphics in that game stink.
The Game.
Is it after 9PM EST? You should probably ignore the above post.
Ain't gonna happen. Sega would never let its mascot series be developed by a competitor.
Cough*Mario and Sonic at the olympic games*cough
SEGA did the Olympic Games Games, not Nintendo.

Looking forward to The Conduit 2 and CoD: Black Ops for DS For really cool avatars for a forum, go here! http://callofduty.wikia.com/wiki/Callsigns/Emblems
And I actually wouldn't mind voice acting, considering I don't know how to pronounce half the words from any zelda game. Just keep Link silent.
But then Link would be ignorant maaaan.
Also, Tingle, no. dont tell SZM
I actually hope that there is voice acting. I mean they are so close with some characters, like they already say a few words... And theres no point in keeping Link totally silent. He could go: "hmmmm" and rub his chin, laugh, and do his usual "hiyaaaa!" I think voice acting is the only thing holding back the newest Mario and Zelda games and it would give the story more depth... I mean Metroid has the right idea even though they gave Samus a voice... grumble...

There can only be one, like in that foreign movie where there could only be one, and in the end there is only one dude left, because that was the point.
