Topic: The OTHER new guy on the job :P

Just noticed Giggsy's posted his hello, so thought I'd pass on mine as well . I'm the other news reporter who's just started, so I'll give you all a bit of my back ground.

For starters, I'm Australian, but I really don't fit the stereotype all that much, except for perhaps my laid back nature. I'm 26 years old, and I have a wife and 2 children, a son who's 7 and a daughter who's 3, both are very heavily influenced by me and my Nintendo Life (ha ha, bad pun!), my son a devoted Smash Bros/Mario Kart fanatic and my daughter who loves to play Mario Kart with me and has her very own Mario 64 shirt .

My introduction to gaming was going to the local corner shop with my uncle, at the time Wonder Boy and Toki were the popular games, the first home console I ever played was what I can only guess to be one of the original Pong machines, it was a box with a dial on it you had to tune into your TV, my Nan owned it and we could connect a second box to the first one and play matches against each other. Though my Nan got a SNES when I was in late primary school and that turned into Tetris matches . Also I'd like to mention my favourite gaming series has to be the Legend of Zelda, I feel so immersed in the world of Hyrule every time I play the games, which I believe is such an achievement since there is no speech at all in any of the games.

As for consoles I own, the only non-Nintendo console I own is a PS3 (just for Resident Evil/Final Fantasy games I can't get on Nintendo's consoles). Nintendo handhelds I own arean original Gameboy (held onto that bad boy for 18 years now!), Pocket, Color, Advance, SP, Micro, DS, DS Lite, DSi. Consoles I own are NES, remodeled NES, SNES, N64, Gamecube and of course Wii. I also have a Virtual Boy with all 14 games ever released for it, lol.

I will endeavour to bring you the news in the only way Nintendo Life can bring it to you, I have always loved the community for the last 18 months I've been making comments on the bottom of the news pages, and have already enjoyed all of the comments on both my articles I've made so far. Feel free to criticize any content or grammatical issues I have in my articles, as that's the best way I can learn what you all would like from me as a Nintendo Life News Reporter.

No, not at the moment. I don't think anyone on the team does.

Hm, I still have that avatar Brutus, and noone's using Punch-Out!! avatars anymore so I might flip back . Though my version is Vodka Drunkenski as I switched his soda bottle for a bottle of Jack Daniels, lol.
