Today, on September 7th, 2009, me and my dad ordered Hook for the Super NES. ... Lame, I know, but I gave it a shot! I can't even think of anything else that's happened on September 7th.
Hook. My first non-PlayStation title from Sony. It's like a dream come true. I do remember having seen a smidge of the Robin Williams movie, but just a smidge. Well, I shall anticipate it's arrival now [comes between three to six days].
On this day, September 7, 2009, I finally conquered Java's imaging system and implemented fully working animation - Earth-shattering news, mates.
Yay.
On today, September 7th, I figured out how to connect my Wii to my new TV, I re-acquired the morph ball in Metroid Prime, I arrived at chapter two in Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box, and I started reading the latest book in a favorite series of mine, while snacking on Hot Cheetos.
8th Sept. 1955 : American firms are tooling up to manufacture the new synthetic material called polyurethane which is thought will be used in our everyday lives at an ever increasing pace, some of the many things that will made from this new material include toys, sponges, car seats, refrigerator insulation and building materials to name just a few.
Awesome! It is the anniversary of sponges, kinda. And in honour of such an event...
I never realised until now just how many countries had Independence days, let alone how many of them were for after they were free from the UK (Apparently, at it's peak, the British empire ruled over a quarter of the earth's land mass).
Oh, umm... we didn't think anyone would notice that What can we say, the weather over 'ere in Blighty's cr*p, so we liked to travel
EDIT: Oh and as it's now Sept 8, on September 8th 1968 – The Beatles performed their last live TV performance on the David Frost show. They performed their 'new' hit Hey Jude.
