Speaking of Bleach's English dub, I heard a rumor that it has been canceled. Is that true?

English dubbed anything pales in comparison to the original Japanese counterpart!

You've obviously been watching some really s***** dubs. I can think of several off the top of my head which blow the original Japanese voice acting out of the water, but I'll stick with just naming two: Samurai Champloo (my favorite anime ever) and Cowboy Bebop...

Also, re: the Bleach dub, I like some characters, but dislike others. For example: I love Kenpachi's sub, but dislike Ichigo's (I used to hate it, but I've grown accustomed to it, I suppose). Another thing the sub has over the dub—which is kind of sad, when you think about it—is that the Japanese VAs can pronounce Spanish much better than the American VAs can. The only voice actor who could properly pronounce Spanish was Peter Spellos (who played Dordonii, a minor antagonist), and the one voice actor who completely desecrated the language being Dave Mallow (who played Aaroniero, a semi-major antagonist)...

When it comes to film, I have to agree that I'll take original dialogue with subtitles every time (assuming the subtitles aren't crap); this is less relevant with games where you're not as concerned with lip-syncing, though clearly having a good translation is important (see Castle of Shikigami III, though the translated bits that are too literal and therefore make no sense are hilarious).

Nevertheless I can understand people not wanting to read whilst watching a film. The best solution is clearly to become fluent in all foreign languages!

No, it's not. According to the Bleach Wiki, the new episodes should start sometime in July/August. I assume it's this late because VIZ's been releacing a new episode a week (sometimes even 4!) for the past year, so I think they deserve a much-needed break.

I prefer the Japanese version of the "Kon's Boo Boo Cushion" scene. The dub's version just didn't have the same emotion to it.

I prefer the Japanese version other than the American.
