Hello, did someone called me? Have no clue about exact squad or Zanpakuto, though I will more than likely choose 10th or 11th squad due to Hitsugaya and Kenpanchi being my favorite captains. Of course, Ichigo is my favorite character. Have you guys read the latest manga chapters of Bleach? I'm not going to spoil it, but dang Bleach keeps getting better and better! Also, the next episode of Bleach in Japan will finally show the fight of Ichigo vs Ulquiorra anime-style, that fight is one of the best Bleach fights so far!

It's an alright series. The plot seems to drag on sometimes, but there are way worse series.

I like Uruhara, Hitsugaya and Orihime.
Not sure if i'd want to be in a squad. I'd much rather be a Vizard.

I can't say I'm a fan of the show, but I enjoyed it for a good while, until that whole "Save Rukia From the Spirit World" Arc started dragging on way too long. Haven't watched it since.

I liked it during the Soul Society arc. Before, it was too cliched and badlly-written. Afterwards it was too cliched and badly-written.

I like this bleach however:

I'm a fan but haven't watched in a while. I've been moving further and further away from watching things through means of questionable legality, so I'm just waiting for Hulu to catch up with where I left off. I prefer watching subs overall, though I think our Mighty Morphin Power Ranger, Johnny Bosch, is better as Ichigo.

True. I guess people who watched the original Japanese version first usually hate the English Subs because they don't sound like what they're used too.
As for me, I LOVE the subs.

While Johnny Bosch is the better Ichigo, I find that overall I prefer the Japanese cast. The big standout in the Japanese cast is Rukia, who sounds so much tougher and no-nonsense. She almost feels like a completely different character.

After playing the tactics game for review I got interested in the actual manga and have purchased (and read) the first volume. Good stuff, I'll need to get more!

I can't stand the English dub version of the anime, I don't know why. I watched the Japanese version of Bleach with English subs first, and it is like that version just growed on me. I have read the latest manga chapters and watched the manga content of the anime, and Bleach has an awesome storyline. All that is wrong with the anime is the medicore fillers (except for the Bount arc, which I liked). Thanks to Bleach and Dragonball/DBZ, I am now intrested in anime and manga in general. I am now even looking into One Piece (which is actually pretty good).

@Sean Aaron: Don't buy too much more, the storyline (what little there was) pretty much falls apart after the Soul Society arc. Afterward it's just a bunch of fights and ridiculous power-up one-upping...

@Hyper Knuckles: Bleach... awesome storyline? No, I'm sorry, but that's just false. Occasionally there'll be a bearable plot point, but usually by the next week Kubo's shot it all to hell and back. I do semi-like Bleach, but I'm personally just waiting until this train wreck finally ends after having invested so much time into following it. Also, it's pretty much the majority consensus that One Piece is the epitome of the major three currently running Shonen manga/anime (Bleach, Naruto, One Piece)...

@Metroid Fan-The Fake Karuhara Town Arc was more intresting than the Soul Society Arc to me. To me, Bleach chapters 396-400 (the currently latest chapters) have some crazy plot twists also. Both series remind me of DBZ, except they are even better to me in many ways. I just like anime/manga with awesome fights and a decent storyline. As for One Piece, it is too soon to say if I like this over Bleach, but I like what I saw so far.

Metroid_Fan speaks the truth. The storyline is poor and badly thought out. Naruto (disregarding fillers) is everything Bleach wants to be, but better. One-Piece I've heard both good and bad things about.

Anyway I've gotten bored of the major-name shonen action shows. There are much better series out there.

@Hyper Knuckles: Plot twists? There can't be twists in a nonexistent plot. Kubo has said it himself that he doesn't plan ahead and doesn't know how he's going to end this thing, which is why its continuity and storyline are utterly terrible. It's basically him just writing out something he feels is cool, but it ends up being completely underwhelming/detrimental to any sort of plot point that he might've had. Aizen has been broken since the beginning and he'll just continue to grow more powerful until finally Kubo grants Ichigo some plot-shattering power-up that allows him to defeat Aizen...

@HolyMacherel: Naruto has its major downsides, too, namely that Kishimoto seems to have this obsession with sasuke. Still, it is generally better written than Bleach...

Also, if you guys want a great Shonen, read Rurouni Kenshin...

By the way, chapter 401 is out...

Well, I picked up books 2 and 3 at the week-end, so I'll see how I get on with those. The good thing about these is that they're cheap and I should be able to simply stop when I feel happy with the story as it's gone thus far (unless they do like the Spider-Man Marvel Essentials and break the volume mid-story to get you to buy the next).

I think the English dubs are good, but the Japanese ones are just ok. I don't know why I think that. Maybe because I watched the English version first, or the fact that in the Japanese version you just can't take Toshiro's voice seriously.

Have any of you read ZombiePowder, Kubo's series before Bleach? It is SO much better. I just want Bleach to end so he'll continue ZP.

Just wanted to bring this thread back saying:
English dubbed anything pales in comparison to the original Japanese counterpart!

The English dubs sometimes change the wording of the lines, so they can lip-sync with the mouths better, which I find to be annoying, as it cuts out some of the personality that the characters have.

...Also, the English voice actors just sound silly.
